Chapter 9 - Home

Emma opened the door for Neal when they got back to the house.

"Heny! Kiyn!" He called out, running inside. "I hee!"

Henry came running down the stairs, "Hey Neal! How ya doin buddy?"

"Told Emma alweady. Am good." He said before giving his nephew a hug.

"Henry? Can you take him to get cleaned up for dinner, I expect it's almost ready."

"Yeah, sure mom." He picked Neal up and took him to the bathroom.

Emma walked over to the pantry and pulled Neal's highchair out and started to set it up. He spent so much time over here, it seemed like a good idea to have things he might need while he was over. Emma started to think if they would have to buy another for the baby. She told herself not to think about that, she didn't want to give it a personality, she didn't know if she was going to keep it. Killian walked in and interrupted her thoughts.

"Hey love, where'd you go?" He asked, watching her struggling with the chair.

"Just for a walk." She replied, before giving up on the chair.

"Here," He said, grabbing the chair from her. "I expect you are setting this up because your brother is joining us for dinner?"

"Yeah, I ran into my mom and dad on my walk, and he asked if he could come over. I couldn't say no." She said, watching carefully as he put the chair together.

"It's fine. There's plenty of food." He clicked the last piece into place. "Emma, you'll need to know how to do this yourself, when we have a baby of our own." He teased her, then walked away to set the table.

Emma, was taken aback. "What did you say?"

"I said, when we have children, you'll need to know how to set up a highchair." He replied from the kitchen.

"Oh." She mumbled.

Did he know? There's no way he knew. Does that mean he wants children? Not just any children, but my children? Emma's mind was spinning so fast,she felt dizzy, and she collapsed.

"Emma!" Killian yelled, running towards her.

That was the last thing Emma saw before blacking out.
