Chapter 16 - Secrets

Emma was packing her bag when Killian walked in.

"What are you doing love?"
"I'm going to go home." Emma replied rather bluntly.

Killian walked up behind her and put is his hands on her waist.

"Emma, love? What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just want to get out of here." She pulled away but he spun her around. He looked deep into her eyes and pushed her up against the wall. Emma took a sharp breath and then he was kissing her. It wasn't a "I need you now" kiss, it was more of a "I'm so in love with you" kiss.

Emma, tense at first, finally relaxed and opened her eyes. The way Killian was looking at her made her blush. It made her feel guilty for not telling him right then, but she needed to wait for the perfect moment, and this was definitely not it.

"I'm in love with you Swan."

Emma smiled and playfully ducked under his arm, and continued packing. She looked back at him.

His face flushed, and his breath ragged from their encounter, he ran his hand through is messy hair. "I'll uh-" he stumbled through the sentence. "Bring the car around." And with that he left.

Emma paused for a moment after he left the room. Certainly, she thought, we can handle this. It's just a baby, or two. Emma finished packing and zipped the suitcase closed. She glanced around the room, grabbed her phone, and went to meet Killian in the parking lot.
