~ When things are bound to happen, they happen by its own~
The morning sun witnessed a serene beauty sleeping with a novel on her face. The alarm buzzed and a hand crawled from beneath the blanket to put it off. After about five minutes again the alarm buzzed and this time finally she woke up and sat on the bed. That was when it striked her again, all the events of yesterday flashed before her eyes once again distressing her. Confused with what to do, Nandini ended up calling her close friend Alya.
"Hello", a sleepy voice answered.
" Alya please get up yaar, I need your help ", a worried Nandini prompted.
" Nandini? What's wrong babe? Are you okay?", Alya was tensed by the worry in Nandini's voice.
" Yes I am alright but somebody else is not", and Nandini ended up sharing all her confusions and intuitions regarding Manik!
" Umm, I think I understood the matter, but hey, all these for a boss, or am I missing something? ", Alya teased, and Nandini blushed on the other side.
" Dont tease me na, just advice me what should I do?", Nandini tried diverting the topic and was successful too.
" Okay, see I know you have always been our mother hen, and 90 percent times you are correct with your intuitions. So, if you really have a strong feeling that something is wrong with him, then there is nothing wrong if you want to help him. But for that you need to know what actually is wrong in his life. Bingo! why don't you go and ask that Kaka you mentioned? May be he can help you? ", Alya explained.
" Yes, why didn't I think of it? Kaka can surely help me. Thanku so much Alya, you are a real saviour girl", Nandini was out of the world with her excitement.
" Oh Ms thank you-sorry-please, stop with the formality and go do your MAAGIRI", Alya yawned, before disconnecting and drifting off to sleep yet again, leaving a giggling Nandini behind.
Motivated by Alya's inspiration, Nandini was now confident enough to go pursue her intuition. She decided to go to the mansion and meet kaka. She had not failed to notice his sadness whenever the mention of Manik came up. She was sure he would help her. Although she was not sure what she will do when she would know what exactly was the reason behind the emptiness in those eyes but for now she thought knowing the problem is more necessary than thinking of the solution. Before that, it was important to ensure that Manik wasn't home either. So she decided to call his cabin's landline.
"Hello", Manik answered.
" Good morning sir, its me, Nandini", Nandini stammered.
"Oh! Ms Nandini, you are late by the way, and why are you calling on the landline? ", Manik frowned in confusion.
" Actually Sir, I had some work today, so will you mind if I join by lunch time?", she asked nervously.
" Yes you can do that, but be sure to come before 3 pm. We have a meeting at 3 with the Khannas", Manik instructed, amazed at the innocence of this petite girl.
" Yes sure sir, thank you", Nandini happily kept the phone.
Now when she was sure that Manik was at office she quickly grabbed her belongings and rushed to the mansion. On reaching there she found the main gate open again. She could not understand why was the main gate kept open all the time but without giving it a thought she moved inside.
When she could not find Kaka anywhere, she moved to the place which had amazed her yesterday, Manik's gallary. It was full of photos from his childhood as well as his teenage years. She easily identified him, the cute boy with sharp jaw, jet black hair and chocolate brown eyes. His smile was indeed very charming.
