Seungcheol's POV
A few days later, I entered Jeonghan and I's room, and the sight I was met with made my breath get caught in my throat. He was wearing the best blue jeans he had, with a nice red long sleeve shirt that he rolled up to his elbows. He was staring in the mirror, seemingly trying to fix his hair, or the wrinkles on his shirt, even though I saw zero flaws. He looked perfect.
"What are you doing?" I asked. He sighed.
"Should I iron my shirt one more time?" he asked with a worried expression. "Or... I need water."
"Water? What for?" I asked.
"My hair. It looks so pouffy." he said, cringing at his reflection.
"You look fine, Jeonghan. Where are you even going?" I asked, confused.
"Out." he said, still fussing over his appearance. "Should I change?"
"Out? With who? Joshua?" I asked, confused.
"No." he said.
"Ok... if you won't tell me who, then where are you going?" I asked.
"This is cute little restaurant uptown." he said.
"Who's taking you there?" I asked.
"I thought you didn't want to know." he said, with a playful smirk.
"No... You just wouldn't tell me." I said. "Come on, who is it?" I asked again, coming up behind him and running my fingers through his hair, which was brushed to perfection.
"Jeon." he mumbled.
"Jeon? Jeon who? Do I know this guy?" I asked, most likely getting worked up for nothing. But in that moment I got a bit protective. I don't want Jeonghan to be going out alone with some random guy without me. Especially not if he considers it a date. Oh God, does he consider this a date?
"Yeah you do." he said.
"Are you ever going to clear things up for me? Cause the only 'Jeon' I know is Wonwoo, and you're making it sound like he's taking you on a date." I said, chuckling.
"You've got half of it right." he said. Reality dawned on me as I realized that what he just said either meant he was going on a date with some guy named 'Jeon', or he was hanging out with Wonwoo.
As if on cue, the doorbell rang.
"Could you get that?" asked Jeonghan. "I'll be down in a minute."
I left the room in a haste, wanting to know who was hidden behind the front door, waiting for my Jeonghan. And God I hoped to see Wonwoo as my hand closed around the door handle. I wrenched the door open and saw Jungkook standing there, wearing something similar to what Jeonghan was wearing. He looked up at me shocked.
"Oh... hi. Sorry, I uh- wasn't expecting to see you here." he said.
"In my house?" I said bitterly.
"You live here?" he asked, surprised.
"Obviously." I said.
"Seungcheol, honey, who's at the door." asked Jeonghan's eomma. When she saw Jungkook her face lit up. "Jungkook, darling, come in!" she opened the door wider for him, and I grudgingly stepped aside.
"Jeonghan'll be down in a moment, I expect. Was he almost ready, Seungcheol?" she asked me.
"Hardly." I said with bitterness laced in my tone. I sat on Jeonghan's armchair in the living room as his eomma left. Jungkook stayed on his feet.
