Chapter Fourteen| Reunion of Young Souls
"Azula! Come back here! You need to read the runes!" Annabeth screamed as she chased the three year old. The Elves had put some potion in whatever they had fed Azula, thus the child had a massive growth spurt, much to Annabeth's distaste.
The brunette toddler ran off, holding the knife the two were using to write the runes with.
As Annabeth chased her, her head hit a low tree branch; she was knocked out cold....
~~Annabeth's Dream~~
Deer Friend laughed. "Of course, go hug her if you want!"
"Really? How do I know that this is not a trick?" Jason asked. Annabeth scowled at him.
"Hmm, good point. Nevertheless, I command you to hug her." The Lord of the Elves proclaimed. Jason had no choice but to obey.
He walked over to her and pulled her into a life squeezing hug.
"Annabeth, I've missed you so much." He whispered into her ear. "And I always wanted to do this." With that statement he loosened the hug a smidgen to kiss her lips.
They parted a moment later.
"Jason," she said slowly.
"What?" He asked.
"Don't you dare ever leave me again!" Annabeth voiced. She pulled him into another hug, hiding her face in the crook of his neck. Hot tears started to fall from her eyes.

Annabeth woke up gasping. Not another dream about Jason.
Why couldn't she dream about Miri or Azula or something else.
Today, a year had passed since that fateful day Deer told her that she was supposed to be an assassin. Of course it was her dream to be one, it felt wrong.
A hand was placed on her shoulder. "Drink this, the dreams will fade." A goblet was set against her lips and Annabeth took a small sip of the foul smelling liquid.
"Where is Azula?" She asked, suddenly realising.
"With Darien," the Medicine woman said.
"Thank you," she whispered as she laid her head back on the mat. Sleep instantly overtook her.
••*••*••*••
Sunlight peeked through the branches. Children squealed playfully in the forest background. Drums set off in the distance.
Annabeth rose off the bed and wobbled over to the door flap of the tent. Flowers had erupted right to the entryway. Sinking her bare feet into soft dirt, she started walking to the centre of camp.
The sound of flutes and pipes piped in with the drums. They created an airy, inviting melody.
The ground rumbled, a bass drum sound. Elves had gathered around the Green before the Lord's tent.
Three people on dragons appeared. One was on a black dragon, that strangely reminded her of a cat. The two others were on serpentine ones. One was white and the other was smaller and dark grey.
A black haired boy was on the black dragon. On the white dragon was a brown haired boy. Lastly, the small grey dragon held a young girl.
Acid Rain popped up behind her and covered her eyes. "Hey!"
"AH!" She shrieked. "Acid! How could you?" She said as she pushed Rain back.
"It was funny," she laughed.
"Uh-huh," Annabeth mocked.
"Did you see the hot human? The black haired one. He looks a-maze-ing." Rain drooled.
"I barely saw him." Annabeth commented.
"Yeah, right. Like you would miss hi-" She was cut off.
Annabeth felt someone tap on her shoulder.
"Hey, Annabeth-" A male voice said. She turned around and saw Jason. Her mouth dropped open in awe, before she quickly shut it.
She jumped up and hugged him. "Jason! Your actually here!" She held on for quite some time.
"Anna, this is the guy I was talking about. Uh, hello, Annabeth?" Rain poked her. Annabeth was too oblivious to notice her Elf friend.
Jason grinned before he put Annabeth on the ground. "I've missed you so much, Anna." He leaned down. Annabeth stood on her toes and kissed him softly.
"Oooh, I love happy endings." Rain giggled as she clapped her hands together.
Jason looked at her strangely. He moved Annabeth to his side, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Who is this?"
"That would be-"
"Rain. Acid Rain. I'm Annabeth's best Elf friend. Other than Kirk, but we all know Kirk is mine. Never mind. It's nice to meet you, Jason. I hear that Annabeth really fancies you. You should be proud. Every available male Elf fancied her and she took no notice." Rain rambled off.
"Ugh. Rain shut up!" Annabeth groaned.
"You know you love me!" Rain danced off, probably looking for Kirk.
"Is that true?" He asked facing her. Annabeth blushed deep scarlet. "B-but, I did never... Never did notice anyone fancied me."
"Shush," he put his finger against he lips.
