Chapter Nineteen | Curfew
Skerries took a bite out of the red apple. The juices dribbling down her chin. Azula giggled at the sight of her.
"Aww, Zuzu. You want some apple?" Skerries cooed affectionately. Azula giggled again, the faces she made were priceless.
"Skerry, again?" Annabeth groaned. Jason pulled her into a hug.
"Shush, let her do her work." He said kissing her forehead.
"Hey, Jay, be quiet. I'm trying to think over here!" AJ ranted. He poured over the slips of paper on the table. Annabeth got off of Jason's lap and ambled over to the table where he was working at.
Messily, the paper clippings and drawings created a picturesque scene. AJ's flame coloured hair covered his face as he peered at one stained parchment.
"What are you looking at?" She asked.
"Just some interesting information about the Empire. Just some totally random things such as how the Empire has it's weakness at the core. You kill the head and the whole thing shuts down. The head is the heart of the metaphorical body. Get it?" He asked.
Annabeth nodded while Jason scowled angrily, his eyebrows knitted together.
"So if we kill the head, then, metaphorically of course, it should self destruct, right?" Jason speculated.
"Well, we might have to, um, kill a few more royals to stop them from taking over. And then more, er, officials too." AJ awkwardly chuckled.
