Chapter Fifteen | Packing My Bags
Two weeks tops.
That's all Jason thought during his stay with the Elves.
Annabeth let him stay in her humble adobe.
"Jason? I want you to stay with me," she paused. "Forever." A loud snore then erupted.
Yes, Annabeth was asleep and Jason just watched her. To be honest, Jason thought that she was cute when she slept. In her arms, Azula slept quietly, unlike someone else he knew.

"Get ready! We're leaving for Ymmot." Jason shouted, waking Azula in fright and Annabeth growling. Skerries popped by, banging some Elven drums.
"Just shut it, Rain. I know your trying to annoy me. Leave me alone!" Annabeth growled, her eyes were still closed indicating that she was still sleeping.
Azula crawled away from her in terror and scooted next to Jason. He held her in his arms, trying to comfort the toddler.
Skerries peeked in holding a tray of meats and various fruits. Annabeth jumped up and greedily began eating.
Azual giggled. Annabeth paused and looked at the two of them. Her cheeks were full of food, making her look like a squirrel.
"What?" She said muffled, so it sounded like: wfat?
"It's nothing, Squirrel." Jason chuckled. Azula had walked to Skerries picking the berries off of the tray. She pointed a blueberry stained finger at Skerries and said, "eat wit us."
"Will do, kiddo." Skerries giggled. She slid into a sitting position and began to eat the leftovers.
"Skerries, where is AJ?" Jason asked.
She shrugged. "I don't know, I wish I did though."
"Okay," Jason sighed.
"Wait!" Annabeth announced. "Who is this AJ? Was he that other rider? Please answer. I hate being lied to."
Jason pulled her into a hug. Skerries smiled. "AJ is like my older brother. He took care of me when I first become a Dragon Rider a few years ago. Ever since he's taken care of me." Skerries said.
A familiar brown shaggy head appeared. "Hey Skerry, Jason, and Annabeth." AJ greeted. He shuffled into the tent. "So this was your humble adobe? I had hoped the Elves had taken over a city, but I guess not. Interesting?"
Annabeth nodded. "The Elves are nature lovers. So...um, yeah, they don't prefer anything permeant, unless it's some sort of ancient writing."
"That makes some odd sense," AJ chuckled. "Well, I know you have got to pack. Like all of your things. Seriously. You've get to get started."
"I know, but you guys have to stop distracting me." Annabeth groaned.
"Fine, fine, I'm leaving..." AJ announced. Jason followed, holding Azula's petite hand. Skerries hugged Annabeth before she waltzed out the entry.

"Annabeth hold onto her saddle. Don't worry." Jason assured her again. Two hours and Annabeth wouldn't even go near Aidica.
Jason had assured her that Aidica wouldn't hurt her, but Annabeth disregarded his information at all costs.
The black dragon gave her the jitters. Her hands were shaking and moistening up. Shakily, she ran a hand through her hair.
"But Jason, I don't want to ride her. She scares me." Annabeth complained like a little girl. "Can't I ride Miri to Ymmot? Please Jason, you know how fast she can go. All you have to do is take my stuff, which isn't that much and a wait for me there."
"Fine, but go straight there. No side trips!" Jason wavered. "I'll take Azula with me. Will you be alright on your on?"
She looked into his eyes. "I think so." She wrapped her arms around him, crushing the air out of him. He held her for a moment or two.
Annabeth let go and began to walk away before Jason pulled her back. He kissing her with a ferocity that couldn't be held back.
He broke the kiss quickly and walked back to Aidica and Azula. Jason waved to her after her tied Azula on Aidica so she wouldn't fall off.
Annabeth whistled, waiting for Miri's pounding hooves. Soon the pounding beat showed up and Annabeth mounted and rode off, southeast toward Ymmot.
