Chapter Twenty-Two | Finding Skerries ~ Part Two
Skerries hid behind an outcropping, watching the soldiers taking over the city. The fog overhead was blocking out the dim sunlight.
If it weren't for the soldiers, Skerries would have liked Bocaj very much.
Skerries followed her up the stairs into Maritha's apartment. She collected her things and put them into her brown satchel which she brought with her. Attaching her sword to her belt, Skerries searched for an apple, her stomach growling in anticipation.
Maritha returned, holding a canvas satchel."What's in that?" She asked pointing to Maritha's bag.
"Oh, just some things."

"Annabeth!" Jason shook her arm roughly. She flinched but didn't move a muscle.
"Oh, come on, Annaabeeth." He held her name out. She lamely shooed him away.
AJ snuck around behind the two, plotting something evil.
"Aaaa-Jaay! Stop tickling me." Annabeth whined, clutching her stomach in pain.
Azula ran over to the three teenagers, wondering what they were doing.
"Mumma," she clutched Annabeth's arm tightly. Annabeth pulled her into the happy pile of limbs.

"NO! NO! Don't touch her!" Skerries screamed at the guards. They had barely made it out of Maritha's apartment before seven guards had barged into the complex.
"Sorry lassie, King's orders." Guard number one said in a bossy way. When Skerries tried to pry her friend from the guards, the first guard slapped her away.
Holding her cheek, she felt the warm, sticky blood oozing up in her palm.
"You never hit a girl!" She shouted before going into a venomous rage.
