Finally a Regular Life

For once, my life was starting to feel a little normal and everything seemed to be settling down. Even though my career was still soaring and I was still busy, my personal life finally made it feel like everything was going to be okay.
My idea of family finally started to become real. I moved in with Zach in Georgia pretty soon after we started dating. I was living with him and his daughter, Fiona.
Nothing will ever be perfect of course. He had his own issues too. His ex-girlfriend, the mother of Fiona, was arrested in the past year for a short amount of time. She and her daughter from a previous relationship was still a part of Fiona's life. Zach' sister was and still is a huge part of our life. I finally had another family that welcomed me with open arms.
In early 2014, Taylor called me up out of the blue and apologized to me about everything that had happened years before. I also apologized and told her if it meant anything, I forgave her a long time ago. We spoke for hours about how we both never really gave each other a chance for friendship and how we were actually really similar in personalities and the way the media treats us. She told me that she's currently working on her next album and she wanted to write a song with me. I met up with her a few days later and she had this great idea about writing a song about how we really felt about each other during the time of our feud. One of her biggest songs "Bad Blood" came out of it. We became really great friends and it actually made our friendship stronger. She told me about a whole bunch of producers that she wanted to work with and I suggested my good friend Ryan Tedder. That's how "I Know Places" and "Welcome to New York" came about.
I bought an apartment in New York City with Zach. We were officially living together. Whenever I went to New York for business or anything, we all went as a family. Fiona had her own room and she became used to the city life. We started thinking about our future. We knew officially that as much as I love New York, we can't live there until we actually start a family. We didn't want to take Fiona out of her school or away from everyone she knows that soon. Also Zach was still working in Georgia so we knew never to really talk about it until his job changed. Then we made it to our one year anniversary and that meant so much to me. I never made it to a year without breaking up with someone. Zach meant the world to me and I knew we would never leave each other. We were both fully in this relationship. In that moment, I officially knew what love was.
