I was twenty one when I decided to take the step into a serious relationship and learn to raise a three year old. I knew it would be hard for me to be in my first serious relationship and also add a child to that mix. It was one hell of a year. There were so many times when I wanted to give up and leave and there were many times that I didn't feel appreciated. I learned in those moments that having a family and marriage will never be perfect. There will always be a road block and there will always be disagreements. That doesn't mean that it isn't worth it. All of the fights and the screams are nothing compared to the beautiful moments that come with family. Those moments will never stop me from loving the moments when he told me that he loved me or when he told me that I would be the one he would marry or when his parents told me that they never met a girl that was so perfect for Zach. The moment that tops it all off is the moment that reminds me that it's always worth it. The moment when she calls me "mommy" for the first time. The moment that reminds me why I wake up everyday. The moment that makes you feel this extraordinary amount of love. That's the moment that counts. That's the moment that matters most.
