We finished production in the morning. I got the call in the afternoon maybe an hour after it happened.
Paul's manager called me to tell me that he was in a car accident and that he didn't make it. I actually laughed when he first told me but, all I heard was silence on the other end of the phone. I asked him if he was being serious and he said he was so sorry.
That moment seems like a blur but, I remember not moving for one second and then I just broke down in Tom's arms. I didn't want to believe what was being told to me. I cried for a solid hour before calling my family and Bradley.
My mind was racing and thinking of a million things and I ultimately came to the decision to drive down there to see his family. Driving up to the accident was so hard. Being in front of everyone and cameras was not what I wanted but, I had to go there. I drove to his house where everyone was and as soon as his mom opened the door I started crying, not only for me but for her, his daughter, his fiancée. Everyone that meant something to him was crossing my mind.
I stayed at his parents house for a week.
