Its Not Summer Without You

I finished filming "Newbies" and I banned myself from dating. I couldn't take it anymore. I knew that I could never get back with Harry and I never did despite what the media said that year.

I started filming "The Summer I Turned Pretty" with an amazing cast.

We accepted that nothing was going to happen between us and besides, he had a girlfriend at the time. It was awkward though considering he played Conrad, the love interest of my character, Belly.

In the middle of my time filming "The Boyfriend List" came out in theaters, which was very exciting. This was a very different filming process for me because while the movie was premiering, I was signing contracts to do three other sequels. I was nervous because I didn't know the duration of time between filming each movie.

July 13 was a terrible day in which I lost a friend and co star, Cory Monteith. I never imagined something like this happening and I could not have imagined what Lea was feeling like. I was so thankful for my Glee family in that time for helping each other throughout this hard time. I want everyone to remember Cory not the way in which he died but the way he lived. He was the most inspirational and heartfelt person I have met. The world truly lost a hero.

During filming I had some days off to promote "The Boyfriend List" in Spain and because I was speaking to Harry at the time, I decided to spend time with him and Lou and baby Lux. I was trying to convince myself that we were just friends and that nothing was going to happen. Nothing happened but we definitely weren't friends. We were practically dating without the title. Something always brought me back to him and I just couldn't shake it.

I finished filming in June and we hung out a lot between that time and August, when I had to film "Story of a Girl." We met up at the Teen Choice Awards when we were "just friends" and I left immediately after it was over. He called me on the plane to give me a "proper goodbye" as he says and from that moment I knew I couldn't pretend anymore. I told him that I loved him like I always did. He told me that he loved me and he didn't want to let me go or let any other man have me. I told him that if he came to my birthday that maybe I would consider starting over a second time with him. He said he wouldn't even think of missing it. And he didnt.

Then it was my birthday.
