My summer was, for the first time, busy. After the return of the Dark Lord, Sirius and Dumbledore along with the Weasleys and Remus reformed the Order of the Phoenix and used the house of headquarters. People were always coming in and out, holding meetings and planning ways to gain more followers. Dumbledore made Ron, Hermione and me swear not to tell Harry anything. He said his mind wasn't safe and that he would find out soon. I continued to send my brother letters full of fake news, but Hermione and Ron both just stopped, they felt bad lying to him. I also wrote Draco, almost everyday. He kept me up to date on things on the Dark Side, I wanted to bad to tell everyone what he had been telling me, but we already had a spy on the inside. Snape. He spoke to me once about my mother.
I was in the study late one night, reading new spell books. "You are going to beat Miss Granger out for top student this year with all the studying you've been doing." He said smiling at me and sat down on the couch with me.
"Hello, Professor. I just want to learn as much as I can, because I'm so new to everything."
"Your mother was the same way. Being born into a muggle family made her feel like she had to prove herself."
I was shocked. "You knew my mother?"
"I loved your mother." He replied. "I loved her very much, you remind me so much of her."
"Thank you, sir." Harry hated when people told him he looked like our dad but when people told me how much I looked like her or had to like at me twice to make sure they weren't seeing things, I ook it as a complaint. "It's nice to know she was so loved. I just wish I known her."
He sighed and patted my hand. "I wish you could have too, Haley."
Snape had always been so mean to my brother, but he wasn't like that with me. I figured out a few days later, from Sirius, that my dad kinda stole my mom from Snape. Harry reminded everyone of James and that's why Snape hated him, but because I was like my mother, he treated me like he treated her.
A few weeks before the start of school, Draco sent me a letter saying he was started to get scared. Death Eaters had been taking up space in his house and he was worried his dad was going to try and force him to join and if he refused, he might be killed. I wrote back and told him not to do anything that would get him punished, I didn't want someone else to die for me, but that he should make the decision for himself and that his true feelings would be stronger than the Dark Lord's hold. I didn't get another letter.
I was worried for days, but things started to happen and I had to focus on the things I could help with. Order members started to arrive at the house, including Hermione and all of Ron's family. Days before we were suppose to return to school, Harry was expelled. For using the Patronus charm in front of our cousin.
Dumbledore put in for a hearing and some of the Order members went to our uncle's place to get Harry. "What do you think he'll say when he finds out all my news was fake?" I asked as Ron and I sat, waiting for Harry's arrival.
"I don't know which is worse. That you lied or I stopped writing."
"I suppose you're right."
Hermione came into the room, physically nervous. "Is he here yet?" We both shook our heads. "Where are they?" Then the door opened and Harry's black hair came into view. I jumped up from my chair and hugged him.
"Are you alright? We heard about the attack."
He sighed in relief at the sight of me. "I'm okay. What is this place?" He pushed me out of the hug.
"Its headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix. It was formed before the First Wizard War, mom and dad where in it." I informed him. "Sirius opened it up for them to use all summer. His house has been full of witches and wizards that support us."
