The next day we boarded the train to Sirius' for the Christmas break, where Mr. Weasley was, badly hurt but alive and otherwise well. The Christmas break seemed to pass by so quick and soon we all had to return to Hogwarts. Sirius spent as time with us as he could before seeing us off at the train station. Mrs. Weasley assured me that Arthur would be fine and not to worry to much, just focus on the DA meetings.

Back at school, We found out Hagrid was back for his leave and we went to visit him. Umbridge was already there asking him all kinda of odd questions and threatened him to not get to comfortable be back. After she had left, we talked with him of a few hours. He said he'd been on an errand for Dumbledore but that it didn't go as well as planned. The school was a buzz the next morning, a bunch of former Death Eaters had somehow broken out of Azkaban and the Daily Prophet blamed it also on Sirius because one of the prisoners, Bellatrix Lestrange, was his cousin. What they didn't know is that Sirius hated her and loved see her locked up for her status as a Death Eater. Neville was noticeable upset at her escape and left breakfast in a hurry, so I followed him.

I found him in the Room of Requirement, looking at the picture that Sirius had given me. "Neville, sweetie, are you alright?"

He sighed but didn't look at me. "16 years ago, a witch named Bellatrix Lestrange used the Curciatus curse on my parents."

"I know." I said, softly. "You don't have to, Neville."

"I'm very proud to be their son." He said, firmly. "I just don't know if I want everyone to that just yet." He looked away from his parents then, ashamed.

I hugged my friend to comfort him. "You're gonna make them very proud one day, sweetie. I promise you that." He smiled then and hugged me back. We walked back to the common room with his arm around my shoulders. I cared for Neville like a brother and it made me feel good that I could comfort him when he was upset like that.

We were just about to step onto our floor when, "That's some low hanging fruit you're with there, Potter." Draco came into view with Pansy Parkinson and some other Slytherin named Blaze.

Neville looked down and I rolled my eyes. "You're choices in friends aren't best either, Draco." I eyed Pansy. "At least I know where my friends have been." She lunged at my hair, but I backed up so quickly that she all but fall flat on her face. Draco and Blaze choked down laughs, even they didn't really like Pansy, and Neville and I walked away but I still heard Blaze make a comment to Draco.

"I know you don't like her but if she wasn't Potter's sister, she'd be fun to hang out with." I turned around to look at them and Draco just smiled at me. 'Midnight' he mouthed and I gave him a quick nod.

We changed our meeting place to the Room of Requirement. None of the DA students used it other than our lessons from Harry, which were during the day and no one could find us. Draco beat me there that night and the room was a living room set up like Christmas, lucky I brought his present.

He was sitting on the couch, with his back to me, looking at the fire in the fire place. "What's all this for?" I said, taking off my jacket and tossing it over the back of the couch.

He jumped and stood up. "Since I didn't see you before we left for the Holidays, I thought we could have our own Christmas now." He picked up a box that was under the tree, kissed me and handed me the box.

"You didn't have to get me anything."

He smirked at me. "Well, you got me something, didn't you?" That stupid smirk he always did made me melt.
