I think I'm going to make this book between 8-10 chapters long. A lot happens in Half-Blood Prince and the characters start to form relationships so I'm gonna play around with them a bit and we're gonna see Haley and Draco's relationship really be put the test with everything the Dark Lord is asking of him. They are also not as secretive as they thought. In the books and movies, Harry is left in the dark about Dumbledore's plans so we're gonna see his plans, the way I think it happened, formed.

Now onto the chapter!

A week before school started, Hermione and I journeyed to the Burrow. A few days after we arrived so did Harry, after assisting Dumbledore with getting a former professor back at Hogwarts. Our last day before school, we all traveled to Diagon Alley to check at Fred and George's joke shop. Hermione and Ginny made a bee line for the love potions.

"Why do you want one? Can't you just ask someone out like a normal person?" I said, rolling my eyes at that fact that my friends were actually interested in this. "How do you know they really work?"

Fred and George came up beside me. "Oh they work!" Fred said.

"Ginny, dear sister, what do you need with a love potion?" George asked.

She looked at her brothers. "What is that suppose to mean?"

"From the way we hear it, aren't you currently dating Dean Thomas?" George scoffed out.

She put back the vial and rolled her eyes. "That's none of your busy." and walked away. I laughed and looked over Hermione's shoulder to see another Gryffindor guy, McLaggen, staring at her.

I stepped closer to her and whispered. "Don't look now, but someone's watching you." She slowly turned her head slightly to see him, put the vial back on the display and rushed out of the shop. Outside Harry and Ron were waiting for us. "Hey, Ron. Why didn't you tell us Ginny was dating Dean?"

Both Harry and Ron stopped and said "What?!" Just then, Ron caught sight of Draco and his mom. "They look like they don't want to followed. Let's go." We all hurried down the alley after them. I hadn't heard much from him since he left my house, he just said that he was being jumped into the Death Eaters and was getting really scared. He wouldn't go into detail about it, but he said that the Dark Lord was starting to ask to much of him and he knew that failure wasn't an option. They went to Borgins and Burkes. We all climbed a roof next to the building and saw several Death Eaters, it looked like a meeting of some kind. I looked at Hermione and her eyes looked very concerned and sad, she was scared for me, for him, for all of us.

On the train to school, Harry was convinced that Draco was a Death Eater now, only Hermione and I knew the truth. "That was an initiation of some kind. I'm telling you, he's one of them."

"Draco, a Death Eater? I don't think so." I said firmly. I didn't know if I was reassuring myself or them.

Harry scoffed at me. "Hermione, come on. You saw it too." But Hermione took my side.

"Harry, I told you. I don't know what I saw. And that's a pretty serious accusation to make on a student."

-------------------------------------------------------

At school, I tired to catch Draco's eyes, but all he did was stare down at his table. Dumbledore informed everyone that Potions was going to be taught by Professor Slughorn and that Snape was taking over Defense Against the Dark Arts. As all the students filed out of the Great Hall, I pushed my way over to Draco who, for the first time since I'd met him, was alone. "Midnight." I whispered to him and he gave a slight nod.

I waited in the Room of Requirement and then I heard the door,  I jumped up excited to see him. He didn't look like himself though. He eyes were tired and scared, his posture was tense and slightly hunched over, like when he was with his father. My heart sunk at his appearance, but when he saw me his face brightened a bit. "Hey, Furball." he said and hugged me, but it wasn't as much a hug as it was me hold him up. His voice sounded different too, it sounded strained, hoarse and tired.
