Chapter Ten

Eight hours later, I found myself standing in front of a custom official welcoming me on my arrival in Madrid. John, my pilot and the rest of his crews are also on vacation due to the purpose of my visit.
It's already dinnertime in Madrid. I gave them leave to go and stay in one of Nate's villas in Spain which they were grateful for. I, on the other hand, got picked up by Issa in her baby blue Mercedes SUV.
"So, how long are you staying here for?" she asked me as we made our way through the usual traffic out of the airport. I leaned back on the headrest of my seat as I let out a sigh.
"I'm here until Saturday." I said to her as I look out the window noticing that not much has changed since last I've been here.
Madrid is beautiful at night. If I were to compare Madrid back home, it is very discernible that I am indeed in Europe due to the structures of buildings and I guess even some of the vehicles. Like my brother Nate, I love to travel. We share the same dislike with the flying portion as it takes hours out of our days. Plus, the time shifting makes me feel like I have missed a day or so.
"Does Carmen know you're coming for a visit?" Issa asked as she pulled up a red light. I looked over at her to notice that she has somewhat of a serious vibe around her when she mentions my best friend's name.
"No, she doesn't know. I want to surprise her. You and the girls are coming with me to celebrate San Fermin festival, right?" I asked her with hope in my voice.
"Of course Talia, we're going with you. What better way to watch silly men outrun bulls just to prove they are brave?" she finished with a laugh making me chuckle under my breath.
