The New Year's Eve ball was well under way, the music was playing loud and dancing couples were having fun on the dance room. Bells was currently arm in arm dancing with her father and let's just say her smile was as bright as the sunday. At the side of the room Narcissa looked out at her daughter and beloved husband and couldn't help the smile as she talked to the minister next to her. "I have to say Lady Malfoy your daughter is a wonderful dancer you must be happy to have her home" " Yes Minister I am overwhelmed with pride" "I've heard from a friend that your daughter is also very smart, do you think she would consider a job at the ministry she would do really well" "I'm not to sure Minister I don't think she's ever considered it". The dance ended and Bella curtsied to her father as the pair left the dance floor towards the minister and Narcissa. "Good evening it's a pleasure to meet you at last Lady Arabella" the minister said as he lifted Bellas hand and gave a short kiss in respect. In return Bella bowed her head in thanks before the minister asked Bella for a dance and she was swiftly whisked to the dance floor once again. "You've excelled yourself tonight Cissa" Lucius complemented. "Well it's for our daughter after all, she deserves all of this". The duo looked at their daughter as the minister bowed to Bella before her partner was quickly replaced by her brother. They laughed as they danced around the floor weaving in and out of other couples but none shone as bright as the two Malfoy heirs. People stopped and stared at the two in awe since their dance skills were exemplary for children their age. Lucius whipped behind him to receive two glasses of champagne before placing one in his wife's hand. Severus walked up to the happy couple with his daughter close behind. " Lord and Lady Malfoy I have came to apologise for this mornings behaviour I was cruel towards your daughter and upset my best friend. I promise to stand by her as her best friend if you will forgive me" squeaked Sapphire as she looked up at the two Malfoys for forgiveness. "You will have my forgiveness as long as you have my daughters forgiveness." Lucius stated at the young Snape and gave a stern stare at her father. The Snapes quickly got the idea and walked back into the crowd. Finishing her drink Narcissa joked "you do enjoy intimidating people don't you Lucius" "Of course dear it's a speciality, now Cissa may I have the pleasure of leading this dance" Narcissa smiled as she took her husbands hand and was led to the dance floor just as the slow song began. So there in the centre of the dance floor were the Malfoys dancing the waltz with pure elegance...

The clock read 11:55 and after Lord Malfoys announcement the guests at the ball began to fill themselves out onto the large ballroom balcony . The Malfoys all stood together with Lord and Lady Malfoy hand in hand with their arms wrapped around their children who stood in front. To their right was the minister of magic and to their left was the Snapes. Silence filled the air as they thought about their last few minutes of the year and the Malfoys finally happy to start the new year as a family once more. "5...4...3...2...1..." Fireworks claimed the sky in many different colours as all members lifted their glasses in toast to the new year and couples around turned to kiss their beloved. "Happy new year Cissa" "Happy new year Lucius" the two Malfoys met to be in a heart felt kiss ignoring the immature looks of distaste from their children. After the elder Malfoys leant down and kissed their own children on the cheeks before returning to look at the firework show. "Cetty, era I mean Bella I'm sorry can we still start the year together" Bella turned to see her best friend Sapphire and embraced her in a hug that spoke volumes and they both new that all will be well from that moment. Draco then went up to his girlfriend Sapphire and gave her a quick peck in the lips before slipping his arm around her waist to hold her close as they viewed the fireworks. "Happy new year mama, papa" "Happy new year Arabella"

It was perfect the a new year a new me. Cettyana was gone and Arabella was finally ready to put her mark on the world. With her family hand in hand, arm in arm. Together forever!!!
