Ending the year with a bang

It was New Years Eve 2015 & I literally didn't want to do anything else than stay home. But of course I was being dragged to some stupid NYE party thanks to my brother Mikey.

"Come on Gerard! It'll be so much fun I promise! I even think Frank is going to be there."

My eyes shot up, widening with anticipation & a little shock to say the least. Frank had been my high school crush. We've flirted for years but nothing too serious like I would've wanted.

"I don't know Mikes. If he's going to be there, I, I don't know." I tried to hide my blushing cheeks.

"Gee, how long have you had this crush on him? Since high school right? You're both graduated now, make a move genius." Mikey said. He was right. If I ever wanted this to be a thing, I needed to act on it.

I sighed in defeat & ran upstairs to get ready. I took a quick shower & actually washed my damn hair because ew gross. When I got out I looked at myself in the mirror & smiled. Tonight was going to be the night, I could feel it.

I ventured back into my room & quickly got changed into my favorite outfit, a pair of black skinny jeans, converse & a Misfits shirt. Frank also loved The Misfits so I might earn some brownie points.

I grabbed my phone & quickly ran back downstairs to find Mikey waiting on me, as usual.

"See, you're so excited you even put on eyeliner."

Yeah, I totally forgot about that. "Shut up Mikes, I haven't seen him in years. I want him to remember me as I was in high school. Now come on let's go." I said grabbing his arm & rushing out to his car.

The whole ride I couldn't breathe. I was so focused on what I was going to say to Frank when I saw him that I didn't even realize we had arrived. Shit, how close does this person live?

At first I was hesitant to even get out of the car but eventually Mikey opened my door & escorted me inside.

As soon as we walked in, I looked around for anyone I knew. I didn't see anyone familiar so I just headed towards the kitchen for a drink. As soon as I grabbed one out of the fridge, I turned around & was greeted by a warm face.

"Gee! Oh my gosh it's so good to see you after all these years!" Frank said hugging my tight. Making me smile like an idiot.

"Hey Frankie! Holy shit. How have you been?" I replied.

"Ehh, I'm better now that you're here." He said with a wink. I could literally feel myself blushing.

"Hey, you wanna go somewhere quieter & catch up?" Frank said. I shook my head & he grabbed a hold of my hand, intertwining his fingers with mine. It probably wasn't meant to be anything, but say that to my pants.

He dragged me through the house until we came upon what looked like a guest room. There was no one inside so we just went inside. Frank shut & locked the door & we went & sat on the bed. We both sat there together just talking for a while. Casually brushing our hands together or he would move the hair out of my face all cute.

"I didn't even notice you were wearing that misfits shirt I gave you in high school. It still looks great on you. & oh my gosh. Are you wearing eyeliner? I've actually always thought that was really hot on you, Gee." He said blushing.

"Oh really Frankie? I actually wore all of this for you. I know that might sound silly but I've missed you." I said trying not to act flustered.

"No, that's the cutest thing I've ever heard. I've missed the hell out of you too. Oh yeah, & also when you act like you have no idea what's going on. Or when you talk out of one side of your mouth. Fuck that's hot." Frank said leaning closer to me.

"Well you know you're also incredibly hot yourself Mr. Iero." I tried my best to wink but it probably came out looking creepy.

The next thing I knew he was grabbing my face with his hands. "I've always wanted to do this." "Do wh.." I couldn't finish that sentence because our mouths were molded together in a fiery heat. I'm pretty sure he added tongue but I couldn't tell because I couldn't breathe at this point.

He leaned back & we both opened our eyes. "Well, would you look at that. 10 seconds until midnight." & with that we counted back from ten & when the clock struck midnight he was kissing me again, the party long but forgotten at this point.

"Happy New Year Gee." Frank said out of the kiss while holding me in his arms.

"It is now that I have you Frankie." We ended 2015 in each others arms & began 2016 doing the same. I'm really gonna have to thank Mikey later for dragging me here.
