Having a strange fear like Gerard has can be rather difficult sometimes. It's really bad when he goes out to restaurants to eat with his boyfriend. Having a fear of cauliflower might be a silly thing to others but to Gerard it's awful. He can't think about the gross vegetable without hyperventilating.

He's never told anyone about his rather strange fear of this particular veggie. Having always been scared of being judged for it, he keeps it hidden inside. He hasn't even told his boyfriend of 5 years, Frankie, about it yet. He will one day.

It was a rather sunny day when Gee had decided to take a walk to the park. He was just casually looking around at the sky and the playground when all of a sudden he felt something. He looked around frantically, fearing the worst. As he started to sweat he turned around and was met with a beautiful face, Frankie.

"Hey Gerard! Are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost or something." He said laughing as they took each others hands and intertwined them.

Gee tried to act as normal as he could while his brain thought of the dreaded vegetable.

"Hey babe. I'm fine I promise. I was just thinking." He smiled and spoke nothing else of it and began walking towards the swings.

They sat next to each other holding hands between the swings. They tried to hold on when the other went higher but Frank ended up falling off. Luckily he didn't get too hurt. But Gee felt really bad for it.

"Gee baby I'm fine. I promise!" Frank said trying to calm gee down.

"No way! You're coming over to my place. I feel bad, I'll fix you up okay?" He said smiling weakly at his love. Frank ended up taking the offer, not that he really had anything to say about it.

They began walking back to Gee's house hand in hand. The moon now coming up above the hills, casting a shadow as they walked.

Once they reached his house, Gee got the keys from his pocket and lead him inside. Once inside Gee instructed Frank to get comfy and sit on his couch. "I'll bring you an ice pack for your knee. And some water." He said leaving the room only to return a minute later holding the ice pack and water.

"Thank you Gee. You didn't have to do all of this. I'm fine." He said smiling. Gee just shook his head and smiled. "Of course I did. Look, your arm is bleeding! How did you not notice that!?" He said running to grab a bandage.

As soon as he entered the room, he opened the bandage and wrapped in around Frank's arm, cleaning it first of course. They just exchanged thank you's and went to watch movies on the couch.

A few hours later, they had finished the horror movies and were getting ready to go to bed. Gerard had given Frank some clothes to wear to sleep. Usually Gee would be okay with scary movies, but for some reason, this one just really creeped him out.

They got into bed and cuddled each other closely trying to fall asleep to their heartbeats. Frank fell asleep quite easily while Gee on the other hand stayed awake thinking. That damn movie was stuck in his brain. It was about people who turned into zombies and turned on people they loved.

He started thinking of Frank's smile. Thinking about how much he loved the boy. He knew he was going to have to tell him this stupid fear soon. And thankfully he went to sleep clutching Frank's hand underneath the sheets.

Inside the scared young mans mind, things were going terribly wrong. He started to dream of happy times that made him feel alive. The birds were chirping, coffee was being drunk on the front porch with Frank, everything was beautiful.

That was until Gerard's biggest fear creeped into his dream again. This time, seeking vengeance. The cauliflowers fell from the sky rapidly like spy men in movies. All Gerard and Frank could do was run. But with every step, another mutated cauliflower fell, almost crushing them both. He grabbed Frank's hand and ran in another direction. Frank had let go of his hand and turned around. "Frank! Come back here! We need to stick together!" was what Gee yelled. As he turned around, his heart became broken into a million pieces. Frank was squished on the ground by no other than the devil cauliflower.

Gerard woke up screaming and in a nervous panic! He leaned over towards his dresser to get a drink of water. As he turned around, he motioned to grab Frank's hand. But was met with another terrible fate.

Frank's cut on his arm had mutated into something bumpy. Gerard couldn't tell what it was. "Frank? Frank wake up." He kept yelling and shaking him before he reached behind him and turned on the lamp.

Gerard screamed bloody murder when he was face to face with what he thought was his boyfriend Frank. But was a giant cauliflower. Frank's cut had been mutated which caused his whole body to contact the virus.

Gerard screamed and cried hoping this was a part of the terrible dream. He couldn't even look at the boy he once loved. How did this happen so quickly? He thought they would live forever.

He tried to seem strong but broke. He knew Frank was gone and he had to do something about this.

He went in the bathroom and grabbed some gloves before slowly walking back towards Frank. With tears streaming heavily down his face, he picked up the once beautiful Frank now turned ugly cauliflower. He walked over towards the window looking out above the city.

With the window now open and tears now fogging up his vision, he gently tossed the cauliflower boy out the window, hearing him land and burst into pieces on the concrete ground below.

He looked down at the boy he once did love for 5 years. And he never told him his fear. Gerard never meant for this to happen. And what's worse is the person Gerard loved the most, became something he feared the most.

"I'll always love you, my Frankie."
