Neighbors (Part 3)

School went on for a few weeks & everything went pretty normal. Frank & Gerard would walk to each class together talking about this & that. They got extremely close. When they were in class, they always passed notes or giggled when the other person said something. Everyone thought they were already dating.

Frank was apparently still oblivious to it because he never noticed people asking Gerard "are you & Frank dating?" in the hallways. He would just act as if he didn't hear them. But Gerard's answer would always be "Not yet."

Every day they would ride home from school together & hang out at each other's house. Their families had also gotten so close that they have been joining each other's families for dinner every weekend.

Both of their parents could tell something was up between them. The way they would hold hands or cuddle on the couch. Or when they kissed each other on the cheeks. But the same answer would pop out of Frank's mouth. "We're just friends."

Their parents went on fake believing them. But they all secretly knew the truth.

One week, Frank's parents were out of town for a business trip. Gerard had just pulled into his drive way from taking Frank home from school. He totally forgot about his parents trip so that morning he forgot to grab his key.

"Shit." Frank said scrambling in his pockets & his book bag.

"What's wrong Frankie?" Gee asked looking concerned.

"Fuck, I forgot my parents had this dumb business trip this week & of course since I was being rushed this morning I completely forgot my key." Frank said frustrated.

"Oh dude that sucks!" Gee said thinking up a plan.

"Wait! You can stay with me this week! I mean, if you want to. You know my parents won't mind. And Mikey won't, he thinks you're awesome. We could watch stupid horror movies & play video games." Gee said.

Frank was stood in the drive way thinking. He wanted to literally scream YES at the top of his lungs & jump into Gerard's arms because he was going to stay with his absolute best friend. He tried to calm himself before he answered.

"Yeah! That would be great! Thank you so much!" He said, a smile growing on Gees face.

"Yay! I'm so excited! Best friend sleepovers all week!" Gee squealed & hugged Frank tightly. He grabbed Frank by the hand & took him inside.

It's not like he's never been in Gerard's house before. He didn't have to act different. He already knew where everything was. & Gerard's whole family loved him like he was their own.

"Just put your stuff anywhere. You can borrow my clothes for school & stuff. Let's go play video games!" Gee said really excited.

They ran upstairs & played video games while sitting on Gees bed until it was time for bed. At first it felt weird sleeping in the same bed together, but that quickly changed when Gee thought Frank was asleep. He was really just thinking when he felt a pair of arms wrap around his chest.

He scooted toward Frank's body getting warmth, basically spooning the younger boy. All Frank could do was blush. Thank goodness Gerard couldn't see.

Did Gerard want to be something more than Best friends? Because Frank was definitely down with that.

With Gerard holding him nice & tight, Frank slipped right off into dream land quickly. Where he dreamed of having a life with Gerard. Maybe even getting married & adopting a child & naming her Bandit. Needless to say, it was the best dream Frank had ever had.
