Heartbreak

A heartbreak changes you,
For the better,
Or the worse.

You changed me,
For the better,
I realized my self-worth,
I don't need someone to love me,
I need to love myself.

You changed me,
For the worse,
Every word you said,
Stung,
As if you were fire,
You burned every part of me,
My broken pieces laid on the floor,
Oh how you have no clue,
How long it took me to pick myself back up,
Almost a year,
But you moved on so quickly,
Wow,
I finally see,
That this;that,
Wasn't worth it,
How foolish was I,
To fall in love with the selfish boy that you are.

You changed me,
For the worse,
For the better.

You destroyed me,
But I built myself back up,

Thanks to you,

I will never let myself fall as hard as I did when you left me,

For you:

Someone else is getting the best of me.
