demolition of the word love

one look
one touch
is all it takes to fall miraculously in love

intertwined
two are one
like vines growing on the side of a house

sometimes
the vines go their separate ways
departing
but it doesn't mean the love isn't there

sometimes you fall so in love
you're so intertwined
your souls are each a forest together

easily caught on fire
you watch the flames burn every tree to the ground
every piece of your shared soul

as you look at the ashes and see the separation of what once used to be
you end up leaving
not because of the destruction
but the knowing that the love is still there

and sometimes that's just too much to handle
birds flying south; departing
flowers; wilting
vines; growing
forest fire; demolition

love is the most beautiful eradication to the soul

to life.
