you were speaking to me through title waves of emotion that drowned me.

i clung on to your everlasting notes whispering in my ears like a soft lullaby late at night.

i couldn't grasp what you were trying to scream through the bronze twisting body of your saxophone.

you stared at me with your eyes glistening so brightly that suddenly I was trapped in them as if was in a different dimension.

your blonde hair was swaying back and forth as if it were autumn leaves on a tree.

your body shook with the intensity of the sound escalating through the golden bell of your instrument.

you would play with such a force that would crash over my pure soul that I felt overwhelmed and struck in my position of seating.

i wish I wasn't so naive then because I later realized you were pouring your heart out to me and I listened.

and I fell in love.

with your voice on the tenor saxophone, but not in love with you.
