Part 7: Distant
I felt someone shaking me awake. I opened my eyes, and mumbled Reika's name.
"No it's me." Yuki slaps me, and I sprung wide awake.
"You didn't have to hit me you know." I yawned.
He sits down on the bed, and looks down. "Thank you for the strawberry milk."
"No problem kid."
"Will you stop calling me kid. I am eighteen like you." He sighs.
"I don't even call you that. I say it in my head."
"Not just now."
"You are going to school today."
He looked scared. "Please don't make me go."
"Look, if this is about Guncho, I will handle him."
He looked rather uneasy, and bothered. "No.."
"I will not let you stay at my place when I am in school. When are you leaving anyway?"
"I don't know." He looks away.
"You're going. I already washed your uniform. It should be on top of the laundry machine. I am pretty sure you already know where that is."
"Fine." He gets up, and walks off. What is his problem? He is a freeloading son-of-a-bitch. I can't stand him sometimes.

I had gotten dressed, and ate a piece of toast. I made Yuki a slice too just in case he wanted one. He didn't seem to, and just left the house. I ran after him, and locked my door.
"You know, you can wait for me."
"I don't want to." He holds onto his bag, and runs off.
I rolled my eyes and let out a big sigh, and began to walk to the bus stop. Yuki was already there, and looking awkward as ever.
The bus came shortly, and I got on. Reika waved at me from the middle of the bus. I watched as Yuki sat down in the very front. I walked passed him, and sat next to Reika.
"Hey girl." I went to kiss her.
"I've missed you. You haven't texted me all weekend. Did something happen?" She plants her hand on mine.
"I am having a cousin stay with me, and he is a hassle."
"Oh right. You are not good with kids."
I almost wanted to snicker when she said kid. Yuki was practically a kid to me by the way he acts.
"I guess you can say that."
"We should go see a movie soon, and spend some time together." She smiles.
"Yeah, but I have been busy. I will let you know when I am free."
She frowns, and nods. Reika is pretty understanding. I would be pissed off if she got mad over this. This was the first time I ditched her for so many days. Honestly, lately I have not been motivated enough to want a relationship. It had nothing to do with Yuki being in my house. I just feel exhausted every time Reika asked me to go out on dates with her. I kinda got fed up with paying every time. It isn't that I didn't want to pay, but her tastes are exquisite, and expensive, and I couldn't afford paying every time. A part of me wanted to save up for college as well. I have been having many debates with myself on rather I should break up with her or not. I really wanted to, but a part of me does love her dearly. It was a battle with myself.
======
The bus came to a halt, and I got off. Reika held my hand, and I lead her off the bus. "I will see you later at lunch." I gave her a hug.
