Part 23: Rain
I came home, and saw no signs of Yuki. Maybe he left to go out since I got home late due to work. Work really takes the life out of me.
I've gotten countless invites to go to mixers, but I declined them all. It didn't feel like me, and Yuki were really dating. We acted the same. The only difference is he hugs me now. I guess it was a bit selfish of me to want more. My perverted male mind. I slapped myself.
I smelled something good in the kitchen. I knew Yuki cooked up some type of dish again. I took it, and ate some. It tasted great. He really knew how to season food. Yuki should consider being a culinary chef. He might get successful, and I can begin eating things that aren't take-out all the time.
I turned on the tv, and saw a bunch of murders on the television. I hate society. The news only consisted of awful misfortunes, and never any happy shit.
I finished munching down on the chicken a couple minutes later, and heard the door opening. Yuki walks in with his backpack.
"Where were you?" I asked.
"I went to give a friend some of the chicken. I guess I made too much." He sighs, and sets the bag down.
"Come." I pat the seat next to me, and he came to sit next to me.
"Has everything been okay?"
He looks to be in deep thought. "Yes. No worries." He smiles. His eyes went to the tv.
"Two men seem to have disappeared within the local area. Please do keep all doors, and windows locked." The news lady announces.
A picture of the two men appeared. One was an old guy, and the younger guy looked slow. I scoffed. "These idiots look like criminals. No wonder they are missing."
Yuki looks at me, and sighs. "You shouldn't say that. They can be good people."
"You're too good at heart." I playfully punched him.
"I suppose. I try to be." He shrugs.
I wrapped an arm around him, and he blushes. He rests his head on me as we watched the awful news.
"Yuki, I am going home for the holidays. Will you be okay here?"
"Yes I will be."
"Do you want to come with me? I won't talk about our relationship." I decided it was best to keep it a secret.
"It's okay. I am not good with new people." He chuckles nervously.
"You have a nice chuckle you know that?" I smiled.
"Ah um..." He looks away embarrassed.
I kissed him gently on the cheek. "I think I'm going to shower, and head to bed. Today was a long ass day. The dinner was great also." I got up, and stretched my muscles.
"Okay, goodnight." He smiles.
"Night." I began retreating to my room. We were just too normal with each other. I even tried acting like a boyfriend, but he doesn't seem to reciprocate much. It bothered me, but I didn't want to put too much thought into it since we had just began.
======
I woke up feeling more sleepy than normal. I guess I didn't sleep well. My body clock has been so whacky that it drove me insane.
"Yuki?" I looked to my side, and he was gone.
I stood up, and went to the bathroom. He was washing his face, and he blushes. "You catch me at my worst." He looks down shyly.
