(3rd Person POV)

You had been in the hospital for almost a whole week. The Winry, Ed and Al decided to keep you company and hang out in your room. Winry would work on the final adjustments of your new automail while she talked with everyone. You were glad to have your friends as company.

"Alright, Y/n, it's done!" Winry said. You looked over to her and smiled and also noticed that there was two arms there, not one. "Oh, this other arm I made is for you, too. Based on your fighting style, I made the fingertips of your automail the strongest so that you could transmute them to make claws. It's kind-of like Ed's with the extra piece of metal on top of his forearm so that he can make his sword from his automail." You smiled. You would now be able to have a deadly weapon, hidden in plain sight.

Winry took off your right automail arm and attached the new arm to the port. Now, it was time for the most difficult part; the surgery. "Since you don't have a port for your left arm, we need to attach one to it. We're going to do it now, which is why you didn't have breakfast. You ready?" Winry asked.

You nodded your head, ready to get your new arm.

After Surgery

You woke up, looking to your left to see an automail port was now there. "Good, you're awake. Are you ready to put on your new arm?" Winry said. You nodded your head eagerly. "Okay. This is going to hurt. Ready?" You nodded your head. Winry counted down and connected the nerves. You grimaced in pain. Luckily, it was over fairly quickly.

You get up out of bed, ready to test your new arms. "Hey, Al! Y/n wants to test out her new arms. I wouldn't be able to fight her. I mean, you've got the best armor!" Ed said, jokingly.

But it broke Al.

"I didn't ask for this damn body!" Everyone turned towards Al, shocked at his sudden outburst. "I'm not even real anyways. That's what you wanted to tell me that night, wasn't it Edward?" Al then left the room, leaving everyone shocked. It especially shocked Ed. Everyone stood there.

You ran out of your room, looking for Al. "Y/n, wait!" Ed called for you. You kept running and running, up all the way to the roof. You would search every nook and cranny for Al and make him know for a fact that he is real. Luckily, you did find Alphonse on the roof.

Al heard the door open and thought it was Ed. "Go away Edward." Al said. You kept walking towards him. Since you couldn't respond, he turned around to face his visitor face-to-face only to realize that it was you. "Sorry, Y/n..." You took out your notepad and began to write:

"Alphonse Elric, you are real. What Ed wanted to tell you was not that you aren't real, but if you were mad at him for what he had done. He believes that it's all his fault that you have no body.

"I have known you since I was seven years old. I know that you are human and that you exist. Do you think Ed would risk is life just to create something he wanted? No, he wouldn't do that. But he would do it to save those he loves. Your feelings are not a fabricated part of Alchemy, but they are pure and special." You finished writing and handed the paper to Al. He read it and brought you into a hug. "Thank you, Y/n." You hugged him back. It felt nice hugging.

Unknown to the two of you, Ed and Winry had walked up to the roof to see you two hugging. Ed chuckled. "Hey, lovebirds! We found you." Ed said. You and Al jumped five feet from each other, Al's armor having a pink tint and your face red as a tomato. "Uh, uhhhh... Y/n gave me this and it made me feel better." Al said. Al handed Ed the piece of paper and smiled. "Hey, brother?" The two boys then began to whisper quietly, making sure you couldn't hear. Once they finished their conversation, Ed smiled at Al, and it was a crazy smile.

"Al, go!"

Al charged towards you, but you moved swiftly out of the way. Ed charged at you next, making his automail into a sword. You decided to try out your automail, see how those work. You clapped your hands together and flung your hands outwards, making claws. They were sharp and curved like a bird's talons.

You didn't have time to admire Winry's work, though. Ed came charging in with his sword. You used your hands to catch the blade and flung him to the ground. Ed was out of the game. One down, one to go.

Al came charging in, but you jumped over his armor. You ran up behind him and was about to win. Al heard your very soft footsteps and grabbed your arms. He would have flung you to the ground, but he knew you were still injured. Instead, you smiled. "I win again," Al said.

Ed and Al laughed and you had a big smile on your face.

I'm glad Al knows he's real.
