Forbidden Love

"You too dated?!" King Roland demanded more than asked.

I could only nod.

"And is this true?" King Roland turned to Riley now.

I kept my head down and stared at the floor.

"It is." Riley's now faint voice spoke from beside me.

"Preposterous!" The King yelled so loudly the silverware on the dining table shook. I myself couldn't help but tremble along with them.

Here it comes...

"Kaitlynn Monroe pack your bags immediately! You are here by banned from this Kingdom from now until the day I die!"

My eyes began to water and my body shook more violently than before.

"Julius, ready a limo and take her away from here!" The King ordered the butler observing silently from he corner of the room.

Just hearing Julius's name made me angry. But the overwhelming sadness flushed it all out.

Hands grasped my shoulders tightly and dragged me out of the room and down the hall where I was thrown onto the ground outside the doors.

The huge doors opened again and Riley came running out. He offered me a hand to help me up.

"Kaitlynn." Through the chaos around us, Riley's voice was soft and gentle.

I didn't want to look up, I couldn't face him now.

My emotions broke loose of the barrier I had made and I threw myself into his arms. I buried my head deep into his chest and sobbed like a baby. His arms wrapped around me and he pulled me as close as humanly possible.

I felt a small drop of water on my head.

Slowly I turned my head up to see Riley's eyes watering and another tear fall down his cheek.

"I love you so much Kaitlynn. Never ever forget that."

I was speechless. I wanted to speak to him so desperately but all the words were jammed together in my throat. I was losing precious time. If I couldn't tell him how much I loved him I would just have to show him.

I pressed my lips against his with all my might. I could taste both of our salty tears and pain in the kiss. We poured all of our emotions into each and every kiss. I savored his touch and his warmth. I never wanted to let go. I never wanted space between us again.

Rough hands gripped me and pulled me away from him. I cried out Riley's name and watched him in horror as distance was put between us. I was shoved to the limo where Julius stood holding the door open.

I stood in front of him and looked him right in his beautiful green eyes that I used to love and now hated with a new form of passion.

"I trusted you." I spat.

Julius turned away from me ashamed.

"Just get into the car please."  He said faintly
