My school was cancelled again today, and I got bored so I sat down and typed. I know I have been updating ALOT lately and I'm sure you are all thrilled, but please don't think I can keep doing this because sadly I go back to school Monday. I might type one last ch sometime this weekend but no promises. Anyways, this ch is short and I apologize, but I promise for what it lacks in length, it makes up for in suspense.

I dedicated this ch to a new voter that voted a long time ago and I completely forgot to dedicate a ch to them. Please forgive me for being late.

Enjoy everyone :)

‘Are you sure you are ok?” He asked for the 5th time in the last thirty minutes.

“Riley, I’m going to give you the same answer I did last time, and the time before that. I am fine.”

“Do you know you are a terrible liar?” I felt my heart stop. Was it that obvious? I pretended not to hear him.

“Don’t think you can keep it from me. I have ways to get it out of you.” He paused. “Many, many ways.”

Chills ran down my spine, but I kept ignoring him.

“Fine you want to play that way? I can play that way.” He scooted across the seat to get to me. His arms came around me and pulled me into him.

‘Riley, what are you-“

Out of nowhere he started to tickle my sides. I laughed hysterically while trying to scramble away, but we were in the back of a limo, so there wasn’t a lot of room.

“Stop! Please stop! Just stop!” I pleaded between my cackles.

“Tell me what’s wrong.” He growled in my ear.

“Nothing! Nothing is wrong! Now please stop!” I begged.

“Come on Kaitlynn.” He was getting a little irritated. “Spill the beans.”

“There are no beans to spill! Stop!” A sharp pain had spread in my right side and it hurt to laugh, but I could not stop.

“You can end all this senseless suffering if you would just tell me.” The irritation began to grow but my lips were sealed. I didn’t want to tell him. I am positive he would become over protective and would hire a bounty hunter to track this guy down. The man really didn’t hurt me, so no harm no foul.

Riley continued to torture me until he cracked.

“Kaitlynn tell me what is wrong now!” he stopped and spun me around to look at him.

“Why do you think something is wrong?”

“Why won’t you tell me?!” He shouted.

“Why are you making a big deal out of this?!” I shouted back. His eyes grew wide and filled with despair.

“Because I am worried I hurt you somehow and I never want to hurt you.” He whispered.

“Riley, you didn’t hurt me, no one did. I’m fine.”

He didn’t look convinced in the least, but he let it slide for now.

The car door opened.

“We are here.” The chauffeur offered me his hand to help me out.

Once again we were lying on his bed staring at the ceiling.

“I have a question for you.” I kept my eyes closed as I asked, trying to figure out how to word it right.

“Fire away.”

I chuckled and sat up.

“When you took off my mask the night we met and you saw it was me, you knew I was a maid, not a princess. But why did you still choose to be with me? You could have left and ratted me out for being at a ball, but you didn’t. And you already had a good reason to hate me since I ran into in the hallway. But you didn’t and instead you let us be together, knowing the consequences. Why?”

“I should be asking the same thing to you. Why stay and be with me when you know your life could depend on it?” He sat up next to me and turned me towards him. He searched my eyes before giving me my answer.

“It was because that whole night there was just something about you. You were different then all the other girls I have ever met. You had an attitude, a flare to you. Most girls don’t talk back and would agree with anything you say even if inside they felt the opposite, but you, you speak your mind and the truth. I like you because you are you, and no one in the whole world would be able to take your place.”

His heart felt answer was more than I had asked for, and more than I thought I would get. I guess this was proof that after all, Riley and I felt the same about each other.

“Kaitlynn, I have never said this to any other girl, and there is no girl I would rather say it to.” Riley put his hands on both my cheeks.

“Kaitlynn, I love you.”

I closed my eyes and melted into him as he kissed me. This was unlike any kiss we have ever shared. It was gentle, loving, and filled with passion. Maybe we really were in love, and maybe this whole crazy thing would work out in the end. Maybe I could have my own happy ending like in the fairytales I read as a little girl. Maybe for once in my life, I will be truly happy.

Riley and I stood up from the bed. He grabbed the back of my thighs and hoisted me up as I wrapped my legs around his torso. He walked until my back hit the wall. His hair was everywhere from me running my fingers through it.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. There was no time to react before the door opened and whoever was on the other side saw us making out.

“Riley we need-“They abruptly stopped talking, my guess is they just saw us.

Riley finally realized we weren’t alone and his hands disappeared from under me. I couldn’t help but scream in shock as I landed hard on the floor.

“Well I see you are busy.” It was a female voice, a voice I recognized. I took a peek to see Michelle standing there with a hand over Andrew’s eyes. He removed it however and got a good look at me.

“Kaitlynn!” he yelled as he ran towards me. Michelle’s eyes were about to pop out of their sockets. Just as everything was starting to be ok…

Riley put his hands up in defense. “I can explain.”

Michelle crossed her arms and tapped her foot. “Please do.”
