Nicki's POV
Robert- baby girl?
Nicki- yeah?
Robert- you ready?
Nicki- almost daddy, I'm doing my hair.
Robert- honey we gotta go, you know how your mother gets when we're late.
i brushed my hair into a sloppy ponytail and ran downstairs.
Robert- you were upstairs doing that for a half hour?
Nicki- it would have looked better if you weren't rushing me.
Robert- you look beautiful baby. You can have messy hair when you have a face like that.
Nicki- thank you daddy" I blush
Robert- you ready?
Nicki- no, I don't want to leave!
Robert- I know honey but I'll see you next weekend and we'll do a little shopping. How does that sound?
Nicki- ok" I said excitedly
I got in the truck and we headed to my moms house.
Nicki- daddy, can we stop at Starbucks first
Robert- anything you want baby girl
My parents have been separated for about 2 years now. When I was 14, my dad cheated on my mom and so she filed for a divorce immediately. I kinda saw it coming because even I could see at 14 that there was no more love there. As a result of the split up, my time was split between the two. I see my dad 10 days out of the month but I usually just go to his house whenever my mom gets on my nerves. He always spoils me which is probably why I'm a daddy's girl.
Nicki- can you come and get me on Friday from school?
Robert- your mom says she has something planned so she's going to bring you Saturday morning.
Nicki- she didn't tell me about any plans
Robert- well maybe she'll tell you about it today
Nicki- maybe...
Robert- summer break starts Friday too right?
Nicki- yeah
Robert- well just call me on Saturday ok?
Nicki- ok
We pulled up to my house and I grabbed my overnight bag from the back seat.
Nicki- bye daddy
Robert- by baby girl, I love you.
Nicki- I love you too
He watched me until I got in the house and then he pulled off.
Carol- hi sweetie
Nicki- hey mom, what you doin?
Carol- oh just fixing a little food, but I have something to talk to you about.
Nicki- ok, what is it about?
