I woke up the next day to the blaring of my iHome. In other words, Asking Alexandria's Dear Insanity. I slapped my hand on the deathly black device, and moved my hand, seeking the power button. When I finally found it and clicked it, I sat up in bed. A soft pitter patter lit up my eyes as I looked at the window and smiled. Did I ever tell you I love the rain? Well, I do.

I leapt out of bed, and rushed to the closet, grabbing my army green jacket, and a pair of denim skinnies. I floated across the room to the back of the door, and snatched my grey and black striped beanie.

After I got dressed, I snapped my hair back in a bun, letting my newly black bangs fall out. I pulled them down a bit, and put on my beanie. It slouched alot, and covered up my bun perfectly. I smiled at my self in the mirror, and ran to the bathroom. As I pulled out my eyeliner, I looked at the flat iron, and turned it on. Once I put on all my makeup, the flat iron was warmed up, so I straightened my bangs some more, and shut it off, unplugging it and opening the door to leave.

I ran to the kitchen, and grabbed my backpack and a piece of toast Ana left out. I stopped at the door to look at the note she'd left.

Left early for work [weird for her]. Get more to eat than toast, I don't care what you say about your weight.

Love ya, Ana

I sighed and opened the refrigerator, picking off a grape, and putting it on the plate in the center of the kitchen where I got the toast. Then, I placed it in the sink, sprinkling crumbs on it, and running out the door-but making sure it was locked-headed off to school.

When I got there, I locked the car, and walked up the steps, heading for my locker (unlike some schools, we keep the same locker all the way through our last year). When I got to it, I saw Hunter and Darianna walking down the hall, hand in hand, and my jaw nearly broke the recently polished linoleum floor. I fumbled to unlock my locker as they approached, and clicked it off. I looked at them and smiled.

"Well," I said, hands on my hips. "Thanks for tellin me, D." We chuckled, and Hunter punched my arm. I rubbed my bicep, and mouthed an "OW," to him.

"Look who's coming," he said, pointing to Trinity. My face got hot, and I opened my messenger bag in an attempt to hide it.

"Oh come on," Darianna said, grabbing my arm, and leaning in close as she said the next few words. "You know you like him!" As she went back next to Hunter, I looked at my locker and shrugged. My backpack was sitting in there, and I shut it. I sighed, and turned around, noticing Darianna and Hunter had backed up, looking to my left as if there was a ghost. I turned and saw Mr. Player himself, coming toward me. He stopped next to me, and I folded my arms and looked away, sticking my nose and chin in the air. As he sat his arm on my locker, and leaned towards it, I grimaced.

"Hey, Babe," he said. He nodded towards me, and I turned towards the other way, starting to walk. He grabbed my hand, and pulled me inches away from his face. His breathe smelled like jalapenos and anchovies as it fell on my cheeks, and lips, causing a larger grimace. "YOU ARE MINE." He crashed his lips on mine, and I felt everyone's eyes on me. On US. Which would never happen. I pulled away, and shook it off, as Trinity ran over, putting his hand on my back, and looking at my face as I wiped my lips.

"Are you ok?" He asked. I looked down.

"Yeah..." I said, embarrassed by John. He leaned in next to my ear.

"What's his name?" He whispered.

"John," I muttered, looking down lower, but smiling at how Trinity had to ask me what his name was. He walked over to John and I looked up to notice that he was a good 2 inches taller than John. I looked at him and my eyes widened as I realized what Trinity was doing.

"Listen...buddy," He started. " John is it? Well, John. I don't think you should go up to a lady like that. First of all, she is never going to like you if you keep this up. Then, there's your breathe. Man! Brush your teeth! And breathe mints help, too." Everyone in the hallway laughed, and I almost smiled, feeling the edges of my lips twitching as John's face reddened. "Also, you're clothes. Get some COOL music shirts. Not these...uh, what are these? Ole Daddy Diggy Man? No...this won't do..." I finally started laughing, and he looked back at me. I smiled, but then I saw John's fist.

"TRINITY!" I yelled, but I was late, and John had knocked him out just as Trinity turned back to him. He stepped back, and I ran up behind him as he fell into my arms. "Trinity! Trinty! Look at me." Blood started coming out of his nose, and he looked up at me in a dazed expression. He squinted his eyes, and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Do I have that hat?" He asked, his words slightly slurred. I shook my head, and glared at John, who seemed pleased with himself.

"Bastard," I spat at him, and he looked surprised. No one else did, though.

I dragged him to the nurse with the help of Hunter, and a worried Darianna following. Once we got there, I sat him down, and the Nurse brought some ice. But it was more like she tossed it, and went back to whoever she was on the phone with. I snickered as she twirled the cord on the phone, acting as if she could care less about Trinity. She was fairly young, but this stupid? God...

"Madi?" Hunter asked, and I turned to him. "Darianna and I are going to homeroom." The teachers had e-mailed our schedules to us two weeks before school started. "You can leave him, he won't mind." I looked at Trinity, and felt a shiver run down my spine as I looked at him.

"I'll stay," I said.
