Regina pulls a chair over and sits in it. While Hook leans back against the railing with his arms crossed across his chest. They stare at each other for a moment before Regina decides to talk.
"So how are you, Hook?" She asks
"Fine, I mean decides the fact that I'm the only one out of the group without a beating heart right now, just fine." He replies
Regina looks at him for another second before talking again.
"That won't be for long though. Emma has a plan that will enable you to come back with us." She says
"I know. I heard." He says with a sigh.
"You're not too keen on the idea are you?" Regina asks
"I'm just afraid it won't work. And I don't want her to be hurt again." He says.
"I know, I fear that too. But it's Emma and she isn't going to give up until you are safely back with her.Even if it kills her." Regina says, laughing a little at the irony.
"I know." Killian says looking down at his feet.
"Speaking of Emma, how is she?" Regina asks
"I don't know.She's asleep but I can tell it's not soundly. She constantly jerks in her sleep and shakes. Also I quietly hear my name every once in a while." Hook says
Regina just nods like it doesn't surprise her.
"She was pretty broken up after your death. Right after it happened Snow called a medics." Regina says
"Why'd she do that?" Hook asks.
"I don't know, I guess she was hoping that by some miracle they could bring you back. However, they could not." Regina says
"And Emma?" Hook asks, dreading the answer.
"She held your limp hand from the moment you fell to the ground to the moment they wheeled you away on that gurney. Been her choice she probably would've followed you to the hospital." Regina says.
"What do you mean by been her choice?" Hook asks
"Her parents. They held her back from following you. I still remember her anguished cries. I've never seen miss Swan that upset in my entire life knowing her." Regina says wincing at the memory
Killian becomes saddened at this revelation.
"And... Um, after that?" Killian asks
"She pushed out of her parents embrace and walked away without looking back. I didn't see her for a day and a half after that." Regina says.
"I failed her." Killian says suddenly full of emotion
"What?" Regina asks looking towards him
"I failed. I...I told her I was a survivor and she had to watch me die in her arms three times." Killian says with tears pricking at the back of his eyes.
Regina goes and gives him a hug.
"You didn't fail her.we wouldn't be down here if she believed that." She says
Killian openly cries. Regina pulls away then grabs his shoulders and looks him straight in the eye.
"The way I see it, you have two options." Regina says
"What?" He asks looking back at her
"When we get back to Storybrooke. Emma will A, become extremely clingy and not allow you to go more than a few feet without her or B she will completely ignore you to deal with her own feelings. I feel A is probably more likely. She'll probably make you her deputy or something so that way she's able to keep an eye on you at all times." Regina says
"I think you're right. I honestly wouldn't care though either way. It'd be nice to go back to our normal life's again. Me either being able to hold her in my arms whenever I wanted or me chasing her all over that damn town." Hook says calming down and smiling.
Regina smiles back.
"Now. I'm starting to get a bit tired so why don't I go inside to Robin and you go back to your Swan." Regina says starting to walk back towards the door.
Hook nods and then follows her inside, happy that he had a friend to talk to.
