Chapter 17:The Deal

I have a sword and it's been stolen. Retrieve this and the thief who took it for me then I'll give you this." Hades says holding up a golden key.

"A key?" Killian asks

"Yes." Hades replies

"Why would we need that?" Killian asks annoyed

"Because this isnt just any ordinary key. This is a key that can lock or unlock death." Hades replies

"How can you lock or unlock death?" Emma asks

"I have a set of these that can either have the power to imprison a soul in the Underworld or release it. This one happens to have the power to release it and it's yours if you succeed.I know you want to be romantic and split your heart but this way is a lot more guaranteed."

"And if we fail?" Emma asks already sort of knowing the answer.

"You fail then you're stuck down here. You double cross me your friend here will be imprisoned here for eternity and none will be able to save him and I'm sure you or him
wouldn't like that." Hades says

"Why do you want this sword so bad?" Killian asks

"Because one it's mine and second inside the base of the sword is one of these keys so whoever wields it-" Hades begins

"Can raise the dead." Killian finishes

"Or they could also slay any living soul and send it to the underworld with a mere touch of the blade. Which if they got to the above world it's bad for you too. " Hades says

Killian gulps

"but that would also give you the power. How do we know you wont use it on all of us?" Emma asks

"Because you may not believe it but I am not a cruel man. I don't force death upon those who aren't ready. Also I dont like having very many complaining subjects.Get me my sword, your realm and family will remain untouched, I swear." Hades says

"We still don't completely trust you but fine we will get you your sword." Killian says.

"Good, now go back to your friends and enjoy time with them because this task will not be easy. I'll give you two days to prepare then you must begin your search. Starting in Underworld storybrooke." Hades says

"Why there? Why not here?" Killian asks

"Because I know every layer of the realm if someone stole my sword they would have to be an idiot to hide here. I don't have control over the first layer, so that's where I believe it would be." Hades says

"Any leads we could follow, mate?" Killian asks

" the sword would've been stolen by a Demi-God because immortals can't touch other immortals things without getting blown apart." Hades says

"Alright, what's a Demi-God?" Hook asks

"Half God- Half human." Emma replies.

"Ah, so you've heard of these wretched creatures." Hades says,smiling.

"Yes." Emma replies

"So you've heard of my enemy Hercules?" Hades asks

"Yes but last I heard he defeated you." Emma replies

"That is not true at all! He may have rescued his precious Meg but I didn't allow them to leave, they are trapped here in this realm which leads me to believe Hercules has stolen it."

"Ok, so what we bring Hercules and the sword to you and you'll hand us the key no questions asked?"Emma asks.

"Yes." Hades replies

When neither Killian or Emma says anything more Hades speaks up.

"Alright, if there are no more questions I''ll-" hades starts

"Wait! One other thing. My hook, mate I want it back." Hook says pointing to his stump where his hook was.

Hades stares at him curious for a second.

"What? I can't fight one handed. Can I?With my hook I'll get you your sword in half the time it would take me to get it to you without the hook." Killian says

Hades still stares at him for a sec then says,

"Alright you have a point but I'll give you something even better."

With a swirl of his hand, he makes Killians lost hand appear on his left wrist where there was nothing.Killian stares at Hades for a second like what did you do? Till Emma says,

"Killian, you hand its-"

Killian looks down at his left wrist and sure enough he finds his hand that was taken so long ago attached again. He flexes it.

"It feels brand new." Killian says amazed.

Emma and Killian continue to revel in the fact Killian has his left hand back while Hades stares unamused.

"Alright now, in two days I'll have my guys come pick you up, until then." Hades says swirling Emma and Hook away.

Emma and hook open their eyes and see they have appeared back in their house in the underworld version of Storybrooke.
