Our plane lands in Aspen and we wait to un board the plane to go to baggage claim.
"Here's your jacket miss!" A flight attendant shouts just before we walk off our plane. She hands it to another lady who hands it to Ian.
"Might need that." He smirks when he hands it to me. I slide it on and zip it up so my mom won't notice my growing belly until we surprise them tomorrow.
"Mom said she'll meet us in the car out front. She said its black suburban." I tell Ian.
"Ready for the cold weather?" He says as we walk outside to look for my mom. And boy is it cold. I pull the hood of jacket up around my head and put my scarf on.
We hear honking and see my mom driving up and I can't help but get excited. I jump up and wave when she stops the car in front of us and gets out.
"Hurry and get in the car! It's cold!" My brother says as he helps Ian get the bags in the back. I slide into the back with Ian and Alex gets in the front.
"How was the flight?" Mom turns the radio down so we can talk.
"Quicker than I thought it would be. I'm starving though. Ian wouldn't let us get snacks on the plane." I nudge his arm and he laughs.
"I don't want you or me to get sick from plane food." He says and looks out the window. He slides his hand in mine and I lay my head against his shoulder.
"Ian your parents arrived about three hours ago. You are going to love this place, it's so big and so pretty and the view." Mom goes on about the rental house we got and we listen. Alex interrupting a few times to talk about the slopes and how he can't wait for us to get on them. I feel bad when I have to tell him I won't be going on the slopes this year. It's a tradition that we do it every year.
"Here it is!" Mom says happily as we pull up to the house. And she was right, it's beautiful. Ian helps me out of the car and grabs our bags before we head inside. His parents greet us at the front door with warm hugs.
"There's hot chocolate in the kitchen. You guys get settled in and we will start our Christmas Eve together." Ian's dad tells us. They show us to our room upstairs and I fall in love with the view of the mountains we have from our room.
"Look, we have our own deck." I open the doors and walk out but not for long.
"Too cold?" Ian laughs and pulls me into his chest.
"I'm going to change into my Christmas sweater." I pull it out of my suitcase and slide my other shirt off. I feel cold hands on my hips and smack Ian's chest.
"Your hands are freezing! Don't touch me." I hit him again with the sweater. He laughs and bends down to kiss my belly but keeps kissing lower and lower and slides my jeans down. I laugh and look down at him.
"Not now Ian. As much as I need you right there..oh god..Ian seriously." I pull him away and he stands back up with a smirk on his face.
"I'm all yours tonight. But right now we need to get downstairs and enjoy time with our families. It's our first Christmas together with everyone and Id like to make that a new tradition but I don't want to ruin that by everyone hearing us up here and then changing their minds." I kiss him quick on the lips and slide my sweater on.
