Chapter 12

"Ian?" I walk into the condo after shopping with Candice. Not sure if he's home or not. I shut the door behind me and lock it back. Lynx and Mo come walking up to me and rub against my legs.

"Hi babe." Ian calls from upstairs. I smile when I hear his voice and turn to look up at him. He's wearing only boxers and I smirk.

"It's the middle of the afternoon and you are half naked?" I ask walking up the stairs. I've been gone since nine this morning, leaving him in bed asleep.

"I woke up a little after I heard you leave, went and swam a few laps at the pool. How was shopping?" He kisses me softly and places his hands on my hips.

"Great. We finished getting everything for the baby. And I bought me two new dresses and you some new shirts." I hold the bags up. We walk to the bedroom and I grab some hangers to put the clothes on.

"Do you like them? If not we can take them back and get you something else." I show Ian the shirts and he holds them up to him.

"No these are great, thank you babe." He walks to his side of the closet and hangs them up. We leave to Hawaii in two days and I've been trying to gather everything we need for the trip.

I turn the closet light off and walk towards the bed. I sit down and kick my shoes off.

"Sleepy?" Ian asks and sits down beside me, I lay back and he lays his head on my stomach.

"No. Just tired of walking." I reply back.

"Want me to start a bath for you? You relax and I'll start dinner too." Ian sits up and kisses me before walking to the bathroom. When I hear the water start I climb out of the bed and walk in.

"I added bubbles." Ian smiles and holds up the bottle.

"You're to kind." I wink. I strip out of my clothes and climb into the bath.

"How is it?" He asks.

"It's nice. I'll be out soon." I say. He leans down and we kiss. I watch him leave the room and he heads down to the kitchen.

"Feel better?" Ian asks when I walk into the kitchen. He puts something in the oven and I go sit on a bar stool.

"Much better." I cross my legs and reach over for the plane tickets.

"Dinner will be ready in about ten more minutes. Want a glass of wine?" He reaches up in the cabinet and grabs two glasses.

"Yes please." I smile. He brings me my glass and I take a sip.

"Holy shit Ian!" I spit the wine back into the glass and Ian looks at me confused.

"The flight! It's in the morning not on Friday!" I fling the tickets into the air and he grabs them to see. I stand up and pace around the kitchen.

"Well looks like we will be leaving early." He smirks. Now is not the time to be acting funny. I glare at him and walk towards the stairs.

"Where are you going?" He asks.

"We need to pack! I need to call Candice and see if she can take care of the cats for two extra days!" I stomp up the stairs. I walk into the bedroom and grab my suit case. Ian walks in a few seconds later and comes into the closet with me.

"Nina...Nina calm down." He puts his hand on my waist and I turn to face him. He looks me in the eyes and runs his fingers over my hip bones.

"Breathe baby. We have time to pack. I'll call Candice. And if you wake up at at two in the morning forgetting something for the trip, I will drive to Walgreens or wherever and get it in my damn boxers." He says and I laugh a little.
