Chapter 2

"Wow you look gorgeous!" Candice looks me up and down as I come out of my room and meet her in the hall.

"Thanks." I smile and twirl around.

"You're going to distract the guy from cooking our food." She laughs and I roll my eyes playfully.

"We better get going!" I say as I head down the stairs.

"Someone is in a hurry..possibly so she can see a certain blue eyed cutie?" Candice winks which makes me laugh.

"No. I'm just really hungry." I lie. I actually am excited to see Ian.

"You want to drive or me?" She asks.

"I'll drive. I didn't buy a new car for nothing." I joke and we walk outside.

"Have you ever ate here?" I ask Candice and pull into a parking spot out side of the restaurant. She shakes her head no and we get out of the car.

"I heard it's the best in town though." She says.

We walk inside and it takes my breath away with how beautiful the place is.

"Hi, we have two." I tell the hosts and he smiles.

"You wouldn't happen to be Nina would you?" He asks and I smile.

"Yes I'm Nina. Did Ian tell you we were coming?" I ask.

"He did. We have a table ready for you in the back." He says and leads us to our table. We pass by couples, people with friends, and one family till we get to ours. Separate from everyone else.

"I'll let him know you both made it." The hosts who's name is Jake, heads towards the back and into the kitchen.

"This place is stunning." I say and Candice shakes her head in agreement.

"I can't wait to see the menu." She laughs and picks it up.

I do the same and we read through our choices.

"Hi there." Ian appears next to our table with a big smile across his face. I can't help but smile wide back at him.

"I'm glad you made it." He adds.

"You didn't tell me this place was beautiful." I say and he laughs.

"Oh by the way, the restaurant is beautiful." He smirks at me.

"But not near as beautiful as you." He says and I feel my cheeks blush. I feel Candice hit my leg with her foot and I hold in my groan from the pain.

"So what would you both like to eat?" Ian asks us and I look back down at the menu.

"What do you like here?" I ask him.

"If you like lobster I would try the warm lobster cocktail. It's one of my favorites." He says and I nod my head.

"Make that two! That sounds really good." Candice says and he nods his head.

"I'll get to work on that. What would you like to drink?" He asks.

"I'll take a water." I say.

"Just water? No wine?" He asks with a smirk.

"I'm driving so I don't want to drink." I laugh.

"Good choice. Don't want to wreck the new baby." He smiles.

"I'm not driving so I'll take the best wine you have." Candice smiles.

"Sounds good. I'll check on you guys in a few minutes with those drinks." Ian smiles as he turns around and walks back to the kitchen.

"He totally likes you!" Candice squeals and I laugh.
