Chapter 8

"We made it!" Candice cheers happily as she runs into my room.

"We are officially finished with school!" I add hugging her.

"Here's to our new life's!" She smiles.

"I'm so happy you aren't moving back to Canada. I'd probably go crazy without my best friend here with me." She sits down on my bed and I grab her hand.

"You can just thank that handsome blue eyed man I call my boyfriend." I wink and we both laugh.

"I really should. Or thank the gods above for putting you both on that same flight the same day 5 months ago. Not only did you get a great boyfriend but he's like your soul mate Nina." She squeezes my hand and I laugh.

"He's my life." I smile.

"He's coming to graduation right?" She asks.

"Him and his parents." I say and she smiles wide.

"His parents are even coming?!" She screams.

"Yeah he surprised me last night with the news when they showed up to his house when we were making dinner." I tell her.

"Speaking of parents, when does your moms flight land? I can't wait to see her again!" Candice says.

"In about an hour. Which means I need to leave now if I want to make it through traffic. You wanna come with me?" I ask her.

"Sure. Let me grab my jacket and phone." She smiles and heads to her room.

I put on my shoes and a coat and grab my purse and meet Candice downstairs.

When we get to the airport I park the car in the garage and we go inside to wait for my mom.

"Is your brother coming?" Candice asks.

"No I don't think so. But Ian and I are flying up with mom in two days, so I'll see him then." I say.

"Is Ian nervous about meeting your mom?" She asks.

"He says he's not but I'm sure he is." I say. We sit down on the chairs against the big window and wait.

"There she is!" I point and we stand up. I run to her and she holds her arms open as I run into them hugging her.

"I missed you so much!" I kiss her cheek.

"I missed you more!" Mom says.

Candice catches up to me and hugs my mom.

"Candice you are glowing! Look at the beautiful baby bump!" My mom says smiling at Candice.

"When are you due?" She asks.

"Early March." Candice says rubbing her belly.

"How was the flight mom?" I ask.

"It was good. I read most of the flight and then watched a little bit of the movie they had playing." She says.

We walk out to my car and head home.

"When do I get to meet this man that has stole my daughters heart?" Mom asks as we pull up to the apartment.

"It looks like you will be now!" I smile when I see his car parked out front.

I pull up beside it and wave when I see him sitting in the car. He smiles and gets out.

He opens my door and kisses me quickly as I get out.

I grab my moms bags and we walk inside.

"So mom, this is Ian. And Ian this is my mom." I introduce them.
