Eek. Just eek.

Just a disclaimer: I know this doesn't apply to everyone. You can be a popular account and not be like how I am about to describe them. I also mean no offense or harm in any way.

I've noticed something lately here on Wattpad that has been pissing me off big time. 

There have been REALLY popular authors that seem to be, like, not appreciative... I don't know how to word this without sounding like a complete asshole, but I've been seeing popular authors just taking hiatuses months and perhaps even years long, without even fucking getting back on here and giving an explanation! I've also seen popular authors not even interacting with their fans anymore. They just reply to their other fucking popular friends. It's like they don't even give a shit about the people that brought them to that fame.

Another thing that bothers me is the fact that the popular accounts get first dibs on FUCKING EVERYTHING. They get all the new updates and they get all the new information. It fucking pisses me off because it's almost like Wattpad pays them to do this shit. I don't know why this bothers me. I get super salty when I see popular accounts posting the same thing about contests. I also get fucking pissed when they host that Wattpad Block Party thing because one, they ask you to vote on your favorite author out of them all, which is impossible, and two, their responses are so rehearsed and dull. I fucking hate it. I don't even look at those competitions anymore. We get it - you're a good writer and you're famous for it. No need to rub in all your rewards in our faces.

The last thing that bothers me is popular authors getting their books published. Now, before you jump on me, many of them wholeheartedly deserve it. They are exceptional writers and they deserve the world to read their works. That's not why it bothers me, though. I don't know why, but I feel so shitty whenever I hear them getting their books published. Why? Maybe it's because of the fact that I'm insecure about my writing. Maybe it's because I'm jealous! I don't even understand myself.... The thing is, though, they try to create as much hype as possible for it by saying that there will be "bonus material," but when I read the Amazon reviews, I see people complaining that there was virtually nothing. Authors can only work so hard, but seriously? Seriously? You can't create a hype and let people down like that.

Connecting to this, when authors say "I'm not finishing this book on Wattpad because my publishing company won't let me," I just straight up unfollow. You don't just do that shit to us. Just take down the book as a whole, for Pete's sake. I get it, you're following your dreams of becoming an author. I respect that. But, what the fuck are you thinking? Do you think we'll sit quietly and adapt? Hell no, sistah, that ain't happening. 

I doubt the whole intent of Wattpad was to create this bitch ass fucking hierarchy. It pisses everyone off. If I had a dime for every time that a popular user said "Oh hehehehe i suddenly went from 10 followers to 2000 in one week!1!1!,"I would be so fucking rich. I'd be rich enough to fucking self-publish my short story.
