(Erik's POV)
After barely some minutes of searching, I found him. Of course he hadn't been hard to find, he was unconsciously laying on the street outside the bar. Christine was right, that smell that completely soaked him was strong; no wonder I found him like that.
I swung him over my shoulder and brought him to my lair. He regained consciousness as we were getting to my home, but then again, it wasn't hard at all for me to drag him to the gate and tie him up.
He growled as he finally started processing everything that was going on around him, and immediately started yelling.
I punched him with all the strength I had, "You will speak only when you are told to!" I yelled at him.
Just then, I heard a voice behind me, "E-Erik?" my angel walked into the room with a trembling voice and fear in her eyes. Of course she had woken up, it was morning already.
I walked towards her and took her hand in mine, "I will make him pay for what he did," I bent down to kiss her hand, but when my lips reached it she had already pulled it back.
She looked at me with fear in her eyes, but why? I had him tied up, he could not hurt her. I did not understand until she spoke, saying the most unexpected thing, "Let him go."
I didn't even think of my answer, "Of course not."
With that I turned on my heel and began punching him non-stop, ignoring my angel's pleas to stop until I turned at her and snapped, "Why?!" Of course she still loved him, how could I be so foolish?
She ran into her bedroom and I turned once again to look at the boy, "Look what you've done! You've upset her!" I yelled at him, and after one last punch to the face, I left him bleeding and went after my love.
I asked her what was wrong, but she responded with a shake of the head and sobbed more. I didn't know if I was supposed to hug her or not, but I stayed where I was until she stopped crying.
"Please let him go," she begged me with her red, puffy eyes. I shook my head once again and she spoke to me once more, "If you don't do it, I will," she said confidently.
"He will not leave this place until he pays for what he has done to you," I replied.
She started walking towards me, trying to get past me to the door. I chuckled bitterly and picked her up. I carried her back to the other side of the room and blocked her only way out with my tall frame. She tried to push me, but I did not move even a little. Tears started making their way down her face, so I tried to keep my posture, trying to mask the way those tears on her face made me feel.
"Let him go," she yelled at me, hitting my chest repeatedly with her hands balled up in fists. I chuckled at the innocence of the girl and walked out of the room, locking the door behind me.
"Erik! Erik!" she yelled and banged on the door. I could her her cries from where I was standing, so I left back to the lake.
I cleared my throat and the boy looked up at me. "Have yo any idea of what you have done? You have made her cry!" I replied punching him in the face and smashing his head against the gate.
"How did I do that if I was here all the time?!" he spat at me.
I replied with a slap and a punch to the stomach, and if it wasn't for the ropes, he surely wouldn't be on his feet any more, he was too exhausted.
I then checked my watch and realized that it was time for lunch, so I cooked my angel something and brought it to the room.
"Christine, I have made you lunch," I said as I placed the tray down on the bed. She was sitting down with her back to me. She turned and pushed the plate.
She did not look at me but I could tell her eyes were puffy and her throat was sore. "I'm not hungry," she muttered.
I sighed and sat down on the bed. "Erik knows what he did was wrong," I spoke softly, reaching for her hand. She looked at me, with a tiny hint of understanding in her eyes, but the rest inside them was pain.
"Don't talk in third person, you know it hurts me when you do that," she said to me as she took my hand.
I nodded and a single tear rolled down my cheek, which she proceeded to wipe away with her thumb. That's when I understood that she wasn't hurt anymore, and that whatever that boy may have done to her made her hurt no more.
I walked back to the lake and dragged the unconscious boy out of the lair.
When I returned, my angel came to me and hugged me, "Thank you," she whispered. I held her close to me and kissed her head, "Please forgive me," I spoke. She nodded and I smiled before placing a kiss on her hand.
