(Erik's POV)

What? They had stabbed her? I prayed it was nothing too bad.

"Th-they stabbed my leg," she told me and I let out a loud sigh of relief. A stab on the leg could be fixed. I took off my shirt and wrapped it tightly around her leg.

"Stay with me, my love. We will get there soon enough and you will get well, but promise me that you will stay with me," I said as I held her tightly and close to me, as close as possible.

She nodded her head weakly, but her eyes started drooping. "Love? Love?!" I called urgently for her, but she didn't respond to me; instead, her head drooped an her eyes shut. I wiped her sweaty forehead and instructed for the driver to go as fast as he could, and he obeyed without a second thought.

"Hurry up," I yelled at the driver even though I knew he was doing everything he could.

I held my tears for as long as I could, but I knew they would spill any moment. I held her closer to me and applied pressure on her wound. "We're almost there," I whispered in her ear and kissed her sweaty forehead.

When we reached our home I ran up the stairs with her in my arms and laid her down on our bed. I brought all supplies I thought necessary and started treating the stab on her leg. When I finished my work, I kneeled beside the bed and took her hand in mine. She stirred a little and I tried to get her back to sleep, but she was already wide awake.

"Wh-where are we?" she asked softly as I placed a kiss on her hand.

"We are home, you are with me, and you are safe. You don't have to worry about anything," I said, trying to comfort her.

She was shaking with fear, so I laid down next to her and pulled her to my chest. I rocked her back and forth and kissed her head repeatedly. After a while, she fell asleep and I smiled at her beautiful self.

"Goodnight, my beautiful Christine," I said and closed my eyes, falling asleep beside her.

The next morning, I woke up at her pecking my lips repeatedly.

"Why, good morning, gorgeous," I greeted her with a chuckle, which caused her to giggle. "How do you feel?" I asked her.

"Better," she replied, but I could tell she was in pain.

"I'll be right back," I told her kissing her cheek and getting up.

I went downstairs and prepared her some breakfast. I brought it to her as well asa cup of tea that I prepared with a substance that would soothe her pain.

When I entered the room again, I smiled.
