Lindsey and Demi walked, hand in hand, up to the front door of the studio’s main building. “Hey, I was just wondering… what are we?” Demi said. Lindsey looked down at her, his blue eyes concealed behind dark Ray-Bans. “Human beings?” He suggested, leaning against the wall by the front door, his hand still holding Demi’s. Demi hit his shoulder with her free hand. “I know that! I mean… what do we call this sort of relationship? I know we’re friends...” “But people who are just friends don’t sleep over at each others houses like we do.” Lindsey interjected. “But we don’t ‘sleep together’.” Demi challenged. “But we kiss.” Lindsey replied. “But we aren’t boyfriend-girlfriend, are we?” Demi asked. Lindsey smiled alluringly, making Demi’s knees go weak. “We could be… if you want?” He said carefully. Demi thought about it; she’d been back in L.A. for only a short time and since her arrival, she’d met, hated and fell head over heels for a rock star. That kind of thing didn’t just happen. The question she had to ask herself was: did she want to give up the chance to be Lindsey’s lady? Yes, she’d had her reservations before. But that was before she’d spent a straight 48 hours with him. She loved everything about him; or everything she knew about him so far. And she found herself eager to find out even more about him. Demi smiled at Lindsey again; she wanted to be his girlfriend but he had to work for her affection. “Mmm. We’ll see.” She said eventually. Lindsey raised an eyebrow. “What does that mean?” He asked. Demi winked and kissed him on the cheek, going up on her tiptoes. She’d never realised how much taller Lindsey was compared to her, especially with his boots on, now that she didn’t have her platforms on. Lindsey turned his head quickly and planted a passionate kiss on Demi’s lips. A wolf whistle came from behind them. They turned to look, smiling at Mick and John who were walking back into the studio. “Well, well, well. Lindsey we thought you were telling tales when you said where you’d been.” Mick said, patting Lindsey on the back and grinning at Demi. “Careful. I hear Lindsey’s a biter when he gets going.” John said, winking as he passed back. Mick cackled as he followed John in the studio. “We haven’t done anything yet.” Lindsey said quickly as he followed them, dragging Demi with him. “Yea right!” Mick exclaimed. “Honestly. I’m making him work for it.” Demi said. Mick chuckled. “Well done, my dear.” He and John walked away, and Lindsey led Demi to her office. “I’ll come down later to see how you’re doing.” Demi said walking to her desk with Lindsey, who still had hold of her hand. “I look forward to your visit.” Lindsey replied. Demi smiled up at him and he responded with a kiss. Lindsey let go of Demi’s hand and wrapped his arms around her waist, while she wrapped her arms around his neck. They kissed for a while until they finally needed to breath. “I’ll see you later.” Demi said quietly, kissing the tip of Lindsey’s nose. He chuckled and turned away from her. He paused when something hit him on the behind. Looking over his shoulder, he caught sight of Demi giggling. “I’ll get you for that. You can’t touch my ass without giving me something back.” “You’ll get something eventually!” Demi called as Lindsey left. “I’d better! I’m getting restless now.” He replied. With one last wink, he disappeared around the corner.
