For the next few days, Demi refused to return to the studio, blaming it on Lindsey and his ‘distasteful personality’. But Agnes was having none of it. After almost a week of Demi either sitting around the penthouse she now called home or shopping in L.A. for ‘California appropriate attire’, Agnes put her foot down. Opening the door for her, Agnes smiled as Demi scowled back. “It’ll be better. Lindsey and Stevie haven’t fought since that day you were in.” Demi rolled her eyes, throwing her bag over her shoulder. “Like that’ll change him.” Agnes chuckled as she got back into the limo. “Stevie and you will get on just fine.” Demi ignored her and walked into the studio.
“Hey! You’re Demetria, right?” A husky voice asked. Demi turned around; stood nearby, drink in hand, was Stevie Nicks herself. She smiled at Demi and walked over to her. “Yea. But you can call me Demi.” Demi replied. Stevie nodded. “I’m Stevie Nicks.” Demi mirrored Stevie’s nod. “I know. We met the other day, remember?” Stevie grinned. “That’s why I wanted to talk to you. I’m sorry you had to see Lindsey and I fighting on your first day. But thank you for putting Lindsey in his place. I’m sorry he was such a bastard to you.” Demi smiled; she liked Stevie almost immediately. “I can tell we’re gonna be friends.” Stevie said, as if she knew what Demi was thinking. “Yea. I think so too.” Demi replied. Stevie downed the rest of her drink and threw the cup into a nearby trashcan. “Wanna come into the studio? Lindsey is in there but you don’t have to take any notice of him.” Demi nodded, smiling at her new friend. Stevie grinned, linking her arm through Demi’s and together they walked through into the studio.
