Chapter 7
Hunter's POV
"Like hell I am." I hissed into the receiver over the sounds of the chatter in the dingy semi lit bar
Gripping the glass cup tightly in my hand I motioned for the bartender to refill my cup. The old man with silver streaks in his hair hesitantly left the wolves he was serving who sent death glares my way there empty beers still in there hands.
"H-here you go Mr. Grey." the older man stuttered
His hand trembled as he poured me a half cup and looked up for my approval.
"Make it a full cup." I whispered careful so Matt didn't hear the last thing I need is a lecture from him
Nodding the terrified bartender did as I instructed and quickly rushed back to the customers he neglected. My lip curved upwards remembering how I accidentally wrecked this place when I first arrived and apparently the bartender hasn't forgotten since he goes above and behind to keep me happy.
"Why is that rogue still in town?" one of the wolves asked loudly glaring my way
"Because your mom can't get enough of me." I grinned
The guy who had spoken stood up growling his fist clenched as if he were going to do something.
"Watch your tongue with us or else we'll teach you a lesson on respect." a guy with red hair said as he pulled his friend back
I scoffed at the pathetic threat that was suppose to frighten me to silence. Turning towards the group of wolves I noticed some heads turning our way.
"Ohh I'm so scared the big mean doggy is picking on me." I said in mock fear
A couple of girls behind the red headed guy giggled, yeah the girls seem to like having the bad ass rogue in town. Not too long ago I would have brought one of these girls home and showed them how bad I could be.
"Back your words up rogue." the dark haired one that started this little fight insisted
Rolling my eyes at the only word they used to call me by, I mean do I have to write my name in the sky. Besides there are so many more offensive words they could use other than rogue. Hell I've actually grown to like the rogue title.
"Why don't you and the rest of the Beverly hills chihauhaus step outside than?"
The four men exchanged a glance than sat down obliviously knowing better with all the eyes now on us especially since there are a few humans in here. Grinning I looked around the bar noticing the confused expressions, the last thing these guys want is to give these clueless humans a show.
I on the other hand don't give a crap.
"Have you changed your mind?" I asked in amusement
The red head sat his friend down as he glared my way, if looks could kill I'd have died ten times already.
"I'll snap your neck." one of the men growled angrily now realizing I am baiting them
Shaking my head teasing I turned around in my seat "Your bark is louder than your bite."
The sound of a chair scraping followed by three others had me chuckling at the hot headed dumb-ass that fell for the old trick. Remembering the phone in my hand I placed it against my ear with the sound of the wolves trying to calm their friend down behind me.
