Despite her state of mind, Mary understood everything that was being done and said around her. She could never tell Tabitha, but she thought that Tabitha had made the right decision. Though it would be nice for her to be at peace and as her normal self again, Mary loved watching her husband suffer after everything he had done. She hated knowing that Tabitha thought she hadn't done the right thing for residents like Mary. Her only regret was not being able to tell Tabitha the truth.
