Jay's POV

In one of the towns we were touring in was a circus. I begged the boys to go and they finally gave in.

I loved the show. They even had a unicycle show! I always wanted to learn how to use one. I told Nathan this. Perhaps I shouldn't have.

After the show, he trotted up to the announcer.

He said something and the man frowned, shaking his head. Nathan pulled out his wallet and asked another question. The man said something and took the money, then pointed us to the backstage area.

"Where are we going?" I asked my boyfriend.

He smiled up at me proudly. "You're going to learn how to unicycle."

"Nath, you didn't have to."

"I want to!" he insisted. I kissed his nose.

"Thank you."

He had to bribe a unicyclist as well. But eventually, all five of us were being instructed on how to ride a unicycle.

Siva wobbled and fell over. We laughed at him, but then it was my turn and I realised it wasn't so easy. I fell down instantly.

Max's balance was perfect. He was able to accomplish a few tricks by the end of the session. I, meanwhile, had just mastered how to go a few feet.

Max tossed a strawberry at Tom. "Throw them into my mouth!" he said, balancing on the unicycle.

Tom took careful aim and threw a strawberry. Max caught it and ate it.

"Eyy!" we all cheered.

Nathan gently tossed up a ball and started to juggle. I saw him start to lose his balance and rushed over to catch him. He fell into my arms, frowning.

I laughed. "Nicely."

He snorted. "Like you could do any better."

Nathan struggled to stand but was in such a position that he couldn't. He whined.

I lifted him up and set him on his feet.

I pulled out my bucket list and crossed off number 11.

Smiling, I showed Nathan. He grinned and gave me a peck on the lips.

"We're going to get through them all, I promise," he whispered.

I hugged him tightly. He knew I was probably going to die, but he stuck by my side. "I love you, Nathan."

He played with my curls. "I love you too."
