We all waited at the airport in Philadelphia. I nervously shifted from foot to foot. He was coming back. I still couldn't believe it.

"Nathan, please look up," Siva said.

I shook my head, refusing to raise my red face.

"Please?"

"Not until Jay comes."

"Fine."

His flight was due in at 9 PM local time. It was already 9:15 and we hadn't seen him.

Five minutes later, Siva poked my shoulder. "Nathan, look up. You'll want to see this."

I sighed. "What is it?" I snapped my head up.

There he was.

His bandages were off and colour had returned to his face. He looked healthy and healed. He didn't see us and kept walking around, dragging a suitcase behind him.

"Jay!" we all screamed. He looked over, cried out our names and ran the rest of the way.

It got really emotional. He hugged all of us, and the management. Everyone was crying again. Some fans had also gathered and were screaming, laughing, crying, and hugging.

I buried my head into Jay's shoulder and breathed him in. "I missed you so much, Jay!"

"I missed you too!" He said, crying into my hair. "Thanks for visiting me every day. The nurses told me you did."

"It was the least I could do."

We hugged and kissed our way through the fans and left the airport as soon as possible.

I refused to leave his side. Now that he was awake, I could see his eyes and his smile. Oh, how I'd missed them.

On the tour bus, I sat next to him. He got loads of questions about being in a coma, and how he was feeling. He answered all of them calmly, while holding onto my hand. Apparently he could tell that I was an emotional train wreck.

One by one, people started drifting off to sleep. Eventually it was just me and Jay.

"It's so good to have you back," I whispered.

"I missed you all loads," he replied. "Thanks for talking and reading to me. I heard every word."

My face froze. Then he heard about how I felt.

Jay chuckled when he saw my face. He brushed the fringe away from my eyes. "We have to talk later."

I nodded silently.

I rested my head on his shoulder and gradually fell asleep.
