Chap 8

Teri P.O.V

I woke up feeling half and half. Half crappy and half happy that Landon and I kissed yesterday.

He went home last night after a long while of making out.

But today was Monday. Interview Monday.

I sighed. The View is sooo ughhh. Plus I have to see ole happy Sherri who is happy with Peter now.

She needs to be happy with me not him!

I still got dressed in all black. Bradley texted us to fake happiness, even if it isn't true.

I let my hair go down.

I wanted to scream in my mind. Why do I need to fake happiness? Im not happy and she knows she's not happy either.

But what if she is happy? What if she is actually moving on from me?

Does Peter really make her happy?

I messed up and I know it.

I grabbed my keys and walked to my car after grabbing my black heels.

I drove to The View set, and after seeing Sherri's car I walked in.

I saw her standing there smiling and laughing in an all white jumpsuit. With some white pumps on. She had on some red lipstick and her hair was down. She was talking to the cast.

I took it all in. All that I was letting leave me. All of it.

I walked over and she smiled at me since The View cast was standing next to her.

She hugged me obviously putting on a show. She pulled back. "Hey. I thought you had skipped out for a second."

I laughed a fake laugh and she knew it. "Never Sher."

I shook all the casts hands and they led us to our waiting room.

They had a couch, tv, coffee table, and a fridge with beverages in them.

Sherri sat on one side of the couch, while I sat on the other.

I spoke up. "So Sherri, yesterday-"

She sighed and rolled her eyes. "I would like not to talk about it Teri."

She got on her phone and started reading text messages in a group chat that I was not in.

Her phone started ringing and I saw the word 'Baby❤' pop up to Facetime.

She answered and immediately started smiling when she saw Peter's face.

They soon began talking about everything under the moon.

My phone beeped. I looked down to see a text from Landon.

Landon- Heyy Baby, so after tonight why don't we go out. I mean I know its still early in the realtionship but...

I didn't finish reading it because I heard some words that shattered my world.

"Okay baby I have to go Love you." Peter told Sherri.

I looked over to see her smile. "Be careful out there driving and love you to baby."

I died mentally and finished reading my text. Forget about it Teri. It wasn't meant to be.

Landon- but I really want to take us to the next level because without you I wouldn't be smiling all day. Call me?

I smiled and called him. He answered on the first ring.

"Hey." He answered.

"Hey, I got your text and sure tomorrow its a date. 8 pm?" I asked.

"Nah Teri 9. The official dinner time babe." He answered.

I laughed. "Well its a date."

"Its a date."

I heard someone page him.

"Hey Teri I have to go see you tomorrow okay?" He asked.

"Definitely." I answered smiling.

I hung up. I looked over at Sherri to see her and hear her laughing at a text she was reading.

The producer walked in and smiled at us. "They're ready for y'all."

We got up and Sherri looked at me and we locked eye contact.

She smiled a small smile. And I smiled back. She spoke something that im sure will be the 3 words that describe our realtionship for a while. "Lets Fake It."

That's all its going to be from now on. "Lets do it." I answered.

We walked on stage and talked and answered questions. I put my hand on Sherri's thigh. She shifted and threw me a look for one second.

A look that said "Teri if you don't get your hand off my thigh we will have problems."

I took it off and finished answering questions.

Whoopi asked Sherri and I a question. "So since we don't have a lot of time left, what is your favorite thing about the other person."

I answered first speaking truth. "Sherri has such a big heart. A huge heart, that if someone was to hurt her she would forgive and forget. Shes not dumb, and she doesn't like making mistakes or feeling down. My favorite thing about Sherri is her heart."

Everyone awwed. And Sherri smiled and gave me a hug and spoke. "Wow I don't know how to compete with that. Teri. There's a lot of words to say about Teri Polo. A lot of sentences that will go great with her herself. Teri has a personality that will brighten your day. Your whole day will be down and she will make a joke that makes you smile. So I can honestly say that my favorite thing about Teri is her personality."

Whoopi smiled. "That was great."

"And Cut!" The producer shouted.

Sherri got up and I followed. She seemed to be rushing somewhere. But I wanted to ask her if that was real.

I had to ask her if that was real. I rushed to catch up with her. When I walked into the hall I saw Peter and her kissing.

So it wasn't real. She was faking when I was real. I grabbed my stuff and walked to the car to leave.

Welp that's what I get right?
