Same Chapter, I just fixed the chapter number that's all.

Sherri P.O.V

I am going to get Teri back after I regain all my feeling back in my legs.

"Polo, it is not." I answered keeping up my side of this disagreement.

"It is. It has to be!" She exclaimed.

We were arguing about if Lena was going to be principal in the future episodes of The Fosters.

"Babe do you want to bet?" I asked.

"It would do me much satisfaction if you lost, so I would like to bet my love. 5 dollars." She asked holding out her hand.

"Ha! Money nope. Umm if I when you have to go bungee jumping with me." I answered smirking.

She stuck out her tongue. "No fair! I hate heights. Fine then if I win you have to hold a snake."

I shivered. "I hate snakes."

She nodded. "Exactly."

Her phone rang and she looked down and asnwered it.

She got up from the couch and walked outside to my patio.

I focused back on my phone and it vibrated and there his name was.

Kamar- Why are you ignoring me Sherri?

Kamar- I don't know what I did.

Kamar- Hello?

Me- You put me in a messed up position yesterday Kamar, and you know that I'm with Teri.

Kamar- I wish you would just meet up with me. No strings attached. Sherri you know we don't talk unless it's an emergency. Sherri this is an emergency.

Me- Kamar ,I swear if this is something stupid I'm going to kill you.

Kamar- it's not. I'm on my way.

Me- Ughh fine.

I hit my home button and they're was a picture of Teri and I. I hope I'm not risking everything by meeting this man.

Heck were not even friends so I know it's something that he has to get off his chest, I just don't know what.

I heard my patio door slide open. I looked at her.

How do I say it. 'Hey babe my ex is coming over. '

'Hey babe, I love you, by the way my ex is coming to talk to me.'

She sat next to me. "Sorry about that babe."

I felt it coming up. The truth was about to come up way to fast. "Kamar's coming over to talk to me about something he said is an emergency. And I thought it was a bad idea but he said it's important. And he called me yesterday and said that he needed to talk but I said no because I thought it was something stupid and a waste of time. Because I would never do that to you Polo. I don't love him, I love you. So of course I started ignoring him but then he texted me and no-"

She cut me off. "Sherri it's fine babe."

I took a deep breath and Teri spoke again. "Your cute when you ramble."

I smiled a very anxious smile. What is he trying to talk about? What is this so called emergency?

"I'm going to give y'all some time to talk. I trust you Sher. I have to go by Jeannie's anyway."

I nodded before responding. "Okay. This talk better be important."

"It must be hon." She answered.

The door bell rung. Oh my god.

Teri got up to answer it, after grabbing her keys.

She opened the door and spoke. "Oh hi Kamar." She moved to the side letting him in.

Kamar stepped in. "Hi Teri."

He was speaking weakly. Ok what's really going on here?

Teri came over and kissed my cheek. "Bye baby. Call me if you need me."

I smiled. "Ok, be careful honey."

She nodded. "When am I not." She began walking out the door and shouted. "Love you."

"Love you to!" I yelled back.

Teri shut the door.

"Hey Sherri." He was still speaking weak.

"Hello Kamar." I answered.

Kamar just stood in the entrance way. I stood up and motioned him to the kitchen.

He nodded and walked in front of me and sat on my bar stool.

I opened up the fridge and looked back. "Water?" I asked.

He nodded. I grabbed some Voss water and handed him some.

He smiled a weak smile and I sat on the counter. My legs were still killing me.

"So what's going on Kamar?" I asked after a while of silence filled my house.

"Sherri, I have a daughter." He answered weakly.

I smiled. I love kids. I know he did not just come to tell me he has a daughter. "Oh that's great Kamar h-"

He cut me off. "She's 13."

Stop. I'm 32. Do the math. 32-13=19. Kamar and I were still dating.

I shot him a look. "Kamar , ¿Cómo pudiste hacerme esto a mí? Todavía estábamos juntos!" I exclaimed.

He put his head down nodding. "Sé Sherri lo sé. Y lo siento por él. Pero esos días de la universidad eran bastante salvaje ."

I was beyond pissed. He just said he's sorry, that those college days were wild!

I answered speaking my second language once again. "Así que ¿cuánto tiempo hace que haya decidido conocer y mantenerlo en secreto ?"

He looked up and responded. "El año pasado."

Last year? Last freaking year! I sighed and spoke in English. "So why are you telling me this?"

He gulped before drinking some more water. "Sherri, I'm dying." He said above a whisper.

Silence.

I could not believe this. Is he playing me? "Kamar don't joke around."

He looked me dead in my eyes. "Sherri I'm serious I'm dying. I have Coronary Artery Disease. Her mother is long gone. Left her at my doorstep last year. Sherri your my last hope. I need you to take care of my daughter. Please?" He begged.

Kamar is not the begger. "Kamar how long have you had Heart Disease?" I asked.

"4 months now. Sherri the doctor says I don't have long. They're gonna put her in a home and I can't let that happen. Please?" He had gotten off the stool and was now leaning on the counter.

I didn't know how to respond. "Kamar, I will. But how are you going to explain to her that your not coming back?" I asked.

"I am going to tell her. She's a smart cookie." He answered back.

I nodded. "Well let me discuss this with Teri then sure, I'll definitely think about it."

He spoke again. "So now what?"

I pointed at the bar stool and hopped back on the counter. "We wait. Now we wait for Teri."

He sat down and nodded. We sat there in silence waiting for Teri to come home.

I don't know if she's going to be to fond of this.
