Chap 29

Teri P.O.V

I stopped the water not letting go of her. Not even thinking about letting go of her.

I was drenched in water. I didn't care though I just wanted her to be alright.

"Sherri say something please." She hadn't spoken since she said thank you maybe like 10 minutes ago. "At least give me one or two words." I tried again.

"It hurts." She spoke clinging on to me. "It's like somethings just stabbing at my heart. And I can't pull what ever it is out. No matter how many times I pull at it, it just seems to wedge it's way deeper into my heart. What do I do to get it to stop? Just to stop-." She just cut herself off and stopped talking.

Has your heart ever broken before? Because at this statement my heart shattered. Knowing that she feels this much pain and I can't do nothing about it but hold her. That I can't help her get this feeling away.

"Stop what?" I asked still holding her.

"Stop hurting."

"It will babe I promise just give it some time."

I felt her shudder and I pulled her hair into a ponytail with a scrunchy I had on my wrist. I picked her up bridal style and she put her head on my shoulder. "What did I ever do to deserve you?"

I smiled at her. "You stuttered when I asked what your name was. Most adorable thing ever."

She laughed. "I felt so embarrassed. I was like 'Oh my god what if she doesn't like me.' I thought you were like going to be I don't know. But I didn't expect you to be nice. But then you hugged me and I wanted to fall into a puddle."

I looked at her weirdly while grabbing a towel. I dried her off. I had took off the weat clothes and got into my favorite pajamas. She put some shorts and my t-shirt on, before jumping right back into my arms. "A puddle babe? Sometimes I feel like you grew up in the country and didn't tell me."

She smiled at me. "I did not." She started staring off again. "I just want the hurt to go away. Or at least get my mind off of it."

I nodded. "And by the way your staring I'm pretty sure you want to eat? Because that is your 'I want some pizza look'."

She laughed. "I wouldn't mind that at all." She whispered in my ear. "Well that's if you want to put me down."

I smirked. "No. I don't think I'm ready to put you down yet."

"Good cause I'm not ready to be put down yet." She kissed me and I kissed back. She pulled away and putting her feet on the ground before speaking. "Actually im not hungry anymore."

I laughed. "I thought you wanted to forget the pain?"

She stood on her tip toes to reach up to my ear.
"Make me forget the pain." Chills flew down my spine. I threw the towel.

I put my arms around her waist picking her up, her legs snaking it's way around my own waist. Doing all this whilst not breaking this kiss was easier than implied.

It's like this kiss was all the heat and warmth we needed.

She pulled my shirt and bra off, throwing it somewhere that wasn't really important-

I woke up from my alarm clock going off. Dang that was a great flashback dream. Wish I could have finished it.
