Teri P.O.V

We stood there after the party. Sherri and I , I mean.

We were talking to Peter and Bradley.

Sherri's phone rung. She looked at the caller ID and a frown immediately crossed her face,  where a beautiful smile once was.

She spoke. "Excuse me for a second. "

She began to walk away and I heard her say. "What is it Kamar?"

I sighed and Peter touched my shoulder.  "Trust her. We should at least trust her after all the damage we did. "

We? He did most of the dang damage. Instead I said. "I know. But Kamar,-"

"Has a spare key." Bradley answered.

"What?" I asked confused.

"He has a spare key to her heart is what I meant Teri." Bradley clarified.

"Wow Bradley that is so what I wanted to hear right now. Thanks." I answered.

"It's the truth. Sherri's dated Kamar more times than I can count. From College to her first acting gig. Kamar has had her wrapped around his finger. Like when she was dating Troy, dude made her so happy. Kamar called one day and boom Troy was out the window once again." Peter spoke.

I sighed. "Y'all aren't helping with the whole Trust her thing. "

"I mean, I think she's changed since she's been with you." Said Peter.

"She has. Don't listen to ole Peter boy. He just haven't been that close to her after the breakup they had." Bradley tried covering it up.

"Yeah your right. Actually tell Sherri that I'm going to be in the car." I walked away with my purse before they could answer.

I heard Peter say 'Teri.'

But I just kept walking. I didn't want to talk about it anymore.

What if they're not right? What if Sherri is about to leave me for Kamar any day now? What if it doesn't matter that we love each other and I'm just some hoax of a girlfriend to see if she is still in love with Kamar?

I unlocked my car and got into the drivers seat leaving the door unlocked, hoping something would come to get my mind off of her. That something would happen.

I started the car and left it in park. I just sat there with music softly playing on my radio.

I put my seat belt on after realizing that when Sherri gets in I just wanna go home and not talk about this. I don't wanna talk about us, and trust.

I should just trust her.

I mean she trusted me and look at me. I hurt her by not telling Jamie-

Jamie!

I called him.

He picked up on the 3rd ring.

"Hey Teri what's wr-"

"J I'm gay. No not happy.  I'm gay. I fell in love with someone that I cannot live the rest of my life without. I fell in love with a woman that literally makes me smile everytime I see her. And no I'm not sorry. No I'm not going to regret it. I love her to much for that Jamie. And it's about time that I told you that." Finally breathing after saying it.

He sighed. "Teri I was waiting on you to tell me. Took you long enough. I would never ever disagree with your lifestyle. For the simple fact of, it's your life not mine. It's your happiness not mine. And if she makes you that happy then you better keep her around." I knew he was smiling by the tone of his voice.

"Thanks Jamie. I needed that. I have to call Jeannie and Kate. Talk to you later."

"Definitely. Bye." He hung up after stating that.

I scrolled threw my contacts hitting Kate before hitting Jeannie's. I know Jeannie she would judge me until the cows really jumped over the moon.

Kate answered.

"Kate I have to tell you something. And I'd prefer to tell you then put Jeannie on the line and tell her with you supporting me." I answered.

"Shoot Ter." She answered. I took a deep breath.

Kate has always been my listener. She listens to you then responds. That's why I value her friendship as much as anybody elses.

"Kate I'm gay." I answered slowly.

She laughed. "I knew that. For real though what?"

"No Kate I'm serious I'm gay."

"And Teri I'm serious I knew that." She answered.

"How'd you know?" I asked clearly confused.

She chuckled. "I know you don't think I'm stupid. Girl I knew somebody was getting into your heart because you wouldn't go off like you used to. Or when Jeannie called you and cursed you out, you stayed calm. I knew it was someone especially when I saw your text messages to Sher Bear, I knew it was a girl making you that happy. "

I sighed. A huge weight felt lifted off my shoulders.  "Kinda upset that you read my text messages but as long as your still my Vent."

"Vents forever Teri." She answered. "I think you should wait to tell Meanie Jeannie."

I nodded in understanding. "Yeah me to."

I looked up and Sherri was walking to the car with a worried expression.

I spoke again. "I'm gonna call you later okay Kate?"

Kate took a breath to respond. Sherri opened the door and got in looking at me. "Okay. Tell Sherri I said hello and that we should meet sometime. Oh and Congrats Vent, got you a new one." She answered laughing.

"Whatever Kate Bye." I answered laughing with her.

"Byeeeeee." She answered hanging up.

Sherri turned in the seat completely. Her worried expression still there. "Why did you come to the car?" She asked.

"Had to call a few people. " I answered.

She smiled a little smile. "You told them about us?"

"Yes. Yes I did in fact."

Sherri sat right in her seat putting on her seat belt. I began driving back to the house.

After a moment of silence she spoke again.  "Are you sure your okay?"

I nodded. "Yep just great." I answered.

She sat back nodding, not wanting to push it to much.

The rest of the ride was filled with silence. And not the good kind.
