Teri P.O.V

I shook my head in disbelief. "Wait so you want me and Kaitlyn to meet your family today?"

We were in the car since Sherri said she wanted to take us somewhere. We had just picked Kaitlyn up from dance practice. She said it was a surprise but I had begged her to tell me and she finally broke and did. "Yeah but the funny thing is not just today but right now."

Kaitlyn didn't have her ear buds in today and was all ears. "Wait I'm wearing some Nike slippers mom. I'm not ready to meet your family. All I have other than these are some tap shoes."

I seconded it. "And my hair isn't in a ponytail and you know I don't like when people touch my hair when I'm meeting them!"

Sherri smiled at us. "Aww look at y'all double teaming and I thought this threw so I packed. Teri your brush and scrunchy is in the back seat. And Kaitlyn your socks and shoes are in the trunk. We'll get them when we get there."

I reached back to grab my brush and scrunchy. I saw Kaitlyn and she mumbled to me. "She tricked us ma."

I nodded at her. "She did Kaitlyn. Next time where asking more questions." I whispered back.

Kaitlyn laughed.

I sat back in the seat and pulled the mirror down and brushed my hair into a ponytail.

Kaitlyn asked a question. "So what shoes did you get? Because if you grabbed my Air Forces I can't do this." Kaitlyn was playing, but still being difficult.

Sherri laughed. "You honestly think your going to win this one? I brought you some new ones."

Kaitlyn practically jumped into the trunk and grabbed the bag. I put my hand over my ears knowing it was coming.

Sherri always buys her the new shoes that always come to the store. Kaitlyn screamed like really loud and my hand didn't mute nothing.

Kaitlyn yelled. "Oh my god! It's Nike Air Foamposite White Fruity Pebbles! I can not believe you got them! They just hit!"

Sherri smiled and laughed when she saw my annoyed facial expression. "Well I had to."

I shook my head. "No you didn't. You just love spoiling the child."

Kaitlyn reached up and touched my shoulder. "Ma I can feel the hate from way back there. Plus I'm passing with all A's."

I nodded at that. "And our supposed to be passing."

Sherri giggled. "Well I lost the receipt so."

I looked back and saw the receipt in Kaitlyn's bag. "It's right there Sher."

She didn't respond instead she turned the radio up.

My phone buzzed.

Group Message: Cierra, David, Maia, Peter, Me.

Maia- So Kaitlyn just posted her shoes on snapchat.

Cierra- Yeah I saw that they're amazingggg.

Maia- For 250 dollars they better be amazingg.

Peter- *says in therapist voice* So Teri when you heard of these shoes how did that make you feel?

Me- Shutup😂😂 , and 250 is like not the most Sherri has paid for some Dang shoes. One time it was 350 for some shoes then she went and paid 350 for a customized hover board. 😐 because Kaitlyn had made her proud in her hip hop solo.
